While beginners can put this cock and balls divider to good use, I suspect it will be better enjoyed by more experienced users. Even for novices just starting out with cock and ball torture (CBT) and more extreme play, this divider does the job. Once I got it in place, my balls definitely became more sensitive because the divider pushes them forward and snugs them tightly into the skin of the scrotum. This divider is simple and well made. The leather was supple and there were no rough edges anywhere, even on the metal snaps. The toy, when laid out, has a 9-inch main strap (that goes around the scrotum and penis), a 3-1/4 inch cross strap, which divides the balls, and then a 4-inch strap to connect back to the main strap. The 9-inch main strap has seven total snaps; five male snaps and two female snaps. Two of the male snaps are for connecting the balls divider. The remaining male and female snaps allow for adjustment of the main strap around your penis and scrotum. In the loosest position, the main strap will have an 8-inch circumference around your penis and scrotum. On the tightest position, you can reduce the circumference to 5-inches, but I am not sure why you would want to try it that tight around your prized possessions. You can also adjust it to a 6-inch and 7-inch circumference. With the ability to adjust the main strap, I think most guys could put this divider to use... if they dare!

The divider performed exactly as I imagined. Having not tried a cock and balls divider before, it was a little tricky to get on at first. Once I figured the trick to putting it on, the divider separated and held out my balls as if they were on display for all the world to see. My scrotum is usually tight and I definitely don't have low-hangers. To put it on, I first snapped the main strap around my scrotum and penis and then attached the snaps on the 4-inch strap to the main strap. I started with the right ball and then the left ball; that seemed to make it easier. Most guys have a left ball that hangs lower and therefore is a little easier to move around for toys like this. Once snapped, my balls were held out nice and firm and became enjoyably sensitive. After just a few minutes, especially when I was aroused, my balls did start to turn purple so I didn't leave the divider on long at all. Call me overly cautious but I get nervous when my general and his two colonels don't have a healthy blood supply flowing. With the snaps, it was easy to remove and blood went back to where it needed to go in no time at all.

Being compact and made out of leather, clean up is easy and just a few wipes away. To get lube or anything else off, I just used a damp rag and let the divider air dry.

The divider arrived in a fairly small plastic blister pack that was easy to open. There were no instructions in the packaging but there were links to the manufacturer's (Doc Johnson) Facebook, Twitter and Myspace accounts. The packaging indicates it is a novelty only, and you could store it in its packaging but I opted not to; I have a small bag I store it in that also allows it to air out.

For me, one thing that sets toys apart is adaptability. If I can only use something at certain times or if the toy becomes a 'distraction' to put on, use or take-off, it can take the fun out of sex. This divider can be put on before or after you get aroused and comes off easily; that is why I like it. While I would not wear it for a long time due to the reduced circulation in my balls, it was fun while it lasted and added something new and exotic to my toy chest.
