They are very pretty to look at, made of a nice supple white leather with 2 dark blue gemstones, the seams are sewn with a matching color thread. They are lined with a soft, comfortable powder-blue faux fur amd four sturdy rivets at the D ring. Sounds good so far, right?

The sad truth is they don't work very well when it comes to keeping your partner restrained. Good for light bondage play and a visual stimulus but not up to any heavy play. I put all of my 125lbs against them and they parted like the Red Sea.

First of all, I am in love with the look these cuffs. I love the feel of the leather and the soft lining on them but on the other hand the design leaves something to be desired. The strap that closes them is only secured with four rivets at the D ring. This allows them to slip and slide when worn. This is less of a problem with the matching wrist cuffs. The smallest ankle size they will accomodate is 8 3/4" and the largest is 10". The fur lined cuff measures 10 1/2" X 2". At either length the Velcro closure fails to hold up to any strenuous pulling as it's only an inch long on the end of the strap!

I like them because I feel sexy in them. They are pretty but they don't hold up to hard pulling. I have other cuffs with Velcro closures that practically circled the entire cuff and there was NO getting out of them. The Divinity ankle cuffs left me feeling somewhat cheated. I had high hopes that they would be my cuffs of choice. I keep consoling myself with the thought that they do look sexy and feminine on and if I feel sexy that's what counts. If only that Velcro tab was longer by 1 or 2 inches they would be perfect. I don't look forward to going to my local shoe repair guy and asking him to put a longer Velcro tab on them. I'll be embarrassed and as he's an older man I'm afraid he would be scandalized. I'd also have to ask him to put two extra sets of rivets equidistant from the 4 that secure the D ring. I am not looking forward to this.

I use saddle soap to clean and protect all my leather coats, purses and shoes so I figured what the heck; so I tried it on these too as it also conditions the leather. It leaves a slight, but not unpleasant odor that faded in a few days and keeps the leather in top condition. I expect, no demand, years of use from all my leather items. In between cleanings a dab of a leather conditioner works well with no odor. Stiff cracked leather doesn't feel very good and looks worse and fails miserably.

The faux fur lining can be spot cleaned with a washcloth and a very mild soap. For a stubborn stain try a toothbrush in place of the washcloth. Bodily fluids should be cleaned as soon as possible. However you clean them be sure to pat them dry and allow them to air dry thoroughly before putting them back in storage. A soft horsehair shoe buffing brush can be used to raise the nap of the lining if it gets too flattened down.

Store your leathers in a dark, dry place as the sun can fade them and dry the leather out before it's had a chance to live its full life. Keep them away from a musty, damp place; under a sink, in the cellar, you get the idea.

The packaging was nothing special. Many toys come in these bubble plastic boxes with a picture of the model wearing the entire set and a lot of hype about how sturdy they are, how they are the "finest", and "fun". Some cuffs live up to this but sadly not all of them.

I'm going to purchase leather cuffs with buckles. My main concern was how quick I or my partner could get out of them but a tether that can be undone in a few seconds more seems more practical now that I've tried these cuffs. Maybe not as feminine or as sexy a color but sturdier by far. I'm not quite interested in anything with a lock yet. That sounds too hard core to me and my boyfriend (the UPS guy) would be running for the hills...he's already a little freaked as it is.

I found that a 5' medium dog leash works just fine as restraint straps go. Four posters = four leashes. Woof! Woof!

My guy has thick, strong wrists and these are a passable fit but they won't stay secured! Also I like to wear an ankle cuff in public if I have long pants on. It's a naughty, sexy feeling when only I and my partner know I'm wearing them. Once in a while someone might notice so I just wink and smile. I've even worn cuffs in the boxing ring (I'm a referee) but NOT with these cuffs. All I'd need is for that velcro to open up...oh lord, what a mess that would be!
