The Illusions Spank Her paddle is a very strong paddle. It is sturdy, beautiful, and packs quite the punch. It has two sides that can be used- one is flat black leather, and the other is slightly padded and has a nice cracked looking metallic coloring to it. Don't be fooled by the padding though-even that side hits hard.

This paddle can be used for punishments or just for play. Since it hits so hard and is unforgiving, it's best that you and your partner are both experienced with paddles. Despite the name being Spank HER, this can be used on/by males and females.
The person doing the paddling should practice their swing with it so they don't hit harder then their partner is comfortable with and are good with their aim. You definitely don't want to hit near the kidneys or anywhere else that could seriously hurt your partner. Limit where you hit to the buttocks or thighs mostly, or do lighter hits to your partner's breasts (if they have them). And to the person being paddled-be sure to be vocal about what you like and what you don't, you could be seriously hurt if you're hit too hard in the wrong spot.


Material and Shape/Design:

This paddle is made out of leather and is 13" long and 3" wide. It's small enough that you could travel with it. The handle is a pretty good size, my partner has large hands and although he would've liked a bigger handle, he was able to grip this one with ease. I have small hands and this is just fine for me. The paddle has reinforced stitching along the edges to ensure long term use. This has a slight leather smell to it, which is great. It isn't overpowering though. Both sides are super smooth.
This has a wooden handle on the inside, and on the flat black side of the paddle you can see the shape of the wood going from the handle and more than half way up the paddle. This definitely is one of the reasons why this hits so hard.



Performance:

The last 3 1/2" or so of the tip of the paddle does not have the wood in it, so if you hit with just the tip there is some give and can be stingy if hit fast and light. But when you hit with the whole paddle, you're hitting with the wood inside of it which causes pain and a thuddy feeling. Both sides of the paddle make a nice "THUD" sound when hit.
The padded side is a little less firm than the black side, but you can't tell when you're being hit with it Both sides hit really hard. This paddle is easy to swing and is small enough to have control with where you aim.
This paddle starts to leave red marks right away and can cause bruising pretty easily. I haven't had it break skin, but I definitely don't doubt it's ability to.



Cleaning/Packaging:

This is made out of leather, so if you need to clean it just wipe it down with a damp cloth. It is best to try not to let any bodily fluids or lube get on it, but if so just wipe off.
This has a string looped at the end which makes for easing hanging on the wall to store it, or you can keep it in a box, drawer, or anywhere that it would fit. This came with a tag attached to the loop. It says the name of the paddle and the brand name, no info about cleaning or usage though.
