Sportcuffs - velcro handcuffs discontinued by Sportsheets - review by The Awesome Penguin

As a big fan of lots of Sportsheets products, I had no doubt that I would instantly fall in love with these cuffs. I previously owned a cheaper bondage kit and was happy with it, but knew that I wanted something a little more durable and a little more comfortable.

I originally bought these cuffs to be used with a tether from Sportsheets that I had also ordered. The one great feature of these cuffs (and many of Sprotsheets' other products) are the metal clips. The clips on the cuffs work great with other products to lock your partner down to just about anything. After strapping on the cuffs, you can either clip them together as depicted in the picture, or you can clip your partner to tethers, bed posts, and many other creative objects. Furthermore, when the moment gets wild and you are ready to break your partner free, it is easy to un-clip the clips from whatever they are clipped to, rather than having to undo the entire cuff.

The material itself is very comfortable. The cuffs are made of neoprene which is a synthetic rubber-like material. This makes them conform to your skin and helps to reduce irritation as well. The one downside to this is that the product does have a slight rubber-like odor to it initially. I am hoping that this odor wears off shortly. In addition to the neoprene and the metal clips, the cuffs also have Velcro that is used to put them on. The Velcro itself is very strong and will not come undone while your partner wiggles around. I had put a lot of resistance on them and they did not even budge! One consequence to the strong Velcro however is that it is very loud when you undo them. If you are living in a roommate situation, this could be a bit awkward!

Just as cozy as when I first got it! We've used these both with a stand-alone tether as well as with the bed restraint kits. The cuffs have held up in terms of both strength and comfort. There are no problems with the clasps and no breakdown of the material itself.
