This toy was definitely designed
When my husband and I wanted to get into bondage, we went and looked into a few things to use for
spanking. Well we were a bit off when we chose this for the intended purpose, but it turned out to have a use after all. First off it was a great tickler. And the reach on it is pretty far, so I love to use it to tease him while hes tying me up or getting something. As a whip, it works Ok but don't get to rough with it because it WILL snap. It produces a nice sting while it lasts, And if you like to leave marks then this is great.
After we tested it out for a few minutes while getting in the mood, we turned it up with our cuffs. I loved the fact that I could still whip my hubby even with my cuffs on ( IF i could get it away from him!) The only downside is that about three nights later when we used it again, It snapped right across my ass. It splintered just enough to make it retire, but not enough to hurt me. I'm sure we were just using it a bit hard. We had tried out a leather crop the previous night and were using that pretty hard, so i don't think we downsized our play right for the
bamboo cane.
On a good note though, When you use the tickler and the cane together. It feels divine. Like a silky cool feeling soothing your burns.
caution! When you get it, take your hand and run it along the length of the cane. making sure to get a good feel. When we got ours there were a few VERY painful pokes around the seams of the bamboo (naturally there since it is a natural wood)
We had to take a small sander to the seams just very lightly to tone down the pokey things.
If you like gentle play or are just beginning then it should be great. But if you like real rough play and harder slaps then use caution, or better yet get a better whip.
lol Great advice cock wrangler. safety first. And thinks for the hydrating tip. I didnt even think about that at ALL! I could have saved my cane....lol
Rattan is definitely a better material- but bamboo can work too. With any new bamboo cane, I would suggest hydrating it first, to avoid snapping. Do this by standing it up overnight with the tip in half and inch or so of water. Periodically re-hydrating the cane (every 6 months or so) will keep it in better condition.
Also, keep in mind that canes are not interchangeable with other kinds of hitting toys- you should be especially careful where you hit with a cane. Avoid the backbone, tailbone, joints, lower back... basically, stick to but, thighs, upper arms and maybe upper back with cane use.
Great cautionary review, thanks! And the name just cracks me up--"Feathers On a Bamboo Cane." Someone put alot of creativity into that one!
ill have to look into that. The seams are eaily fixed though., .so it wasnt to bad.....
That's too bad that it breaks so easily, and the seams are rought.
We don't carry them at Eden (yet?), but I'd suggest looking into a Rattan cane...
