This beginner's bondage fantasy set is awesome for a first try at tying up and role play. Though my spouse and I broke two of the cuffs, this could be because we were too rough and we need leather ones but, starting with this set totally helps you get an idea of what you need next! For $19.99 how can you beat that price for a test run? It also has multipurpose uses...I lined the bottom of my play bag so my toys wouldn't knock around whenever I carried the storage box from location to location.
Clean up: Cleaning the cuffs and mask were interesting. I hand washed it with soap and water then let it air dry. That seemed to be the best way to go about washing this. I also tried throwing it in the washer along with some laundry and it cleaned fairly well (it smelled really nice too). ~*ALERT*~ The Dryer killed them though.... the Velcro stopped sticking and it was fuzzy all over. I was able to use it another 2 or 3 times till I reverted back to belts and ties. SO BEWARE!!! NO DRYER FOR THESE CUFFS and MASK!
All in all, the experience with this set was very pleasing. My partner and I were able to switch rolls quickly (thank you VELCRO!). One difficulty that we dealt with was the tying to the bed/chair. The materials hanging on the end of the cuffs were somewhat slick. It would be nice to have it cotton that way it wouldn't slide. But yet again, this is a beginner set, so maybe you would like it to slide off in the midst of panic or what have you (muahahaha). The cleaning was easy. We enjoyed it for a whole year before we could get funds up to get the pretty bondage stuff!

Do toys that use velcro compare to traditional fasteners?

I find velcro provides alot of strength against escape but it does not have that intense feeling of bondage that you get from traditional fastiners.

I like Sportsheets bondage products. They hold up well. They're well made. And the kits all work well together. I'd say it's worth it.
