Use

Restrained, confined, and feeling sexy about it! This is a different type of restraint to spice up your usual bondage routine. This corset restraint is meant to keep your arms at your side versus the standard above head, behind body, tied down, etc. The product is truly meant to be worn around the waist; I tried to get my feet in the arm bands and just couldn't (size 6 feet). It is simple to get into around the waist, but the arm holes are very snug. While you can get one hand using the other, it becomes difficult to get that solo hand. Should be used with partner so you can have help getting in and out of the corset.

Since this restraint is very straight forward, anyone can use it. I feel that a beginner might want to use something that would allow for more arm positions and versatility. Coming into the bondage/restraint game with arms down might not be the best way to introduce yourself to this lifestyle.

The box tells me this can also double as a belt if you turn it inside out, so you are ready to go. A belt, no, but you probably use it for renaissances festivals if you plan to go as a pirate. The seam that makes the arm restraint stands out to much for this item to be used for high fashion.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

While not a true corset, all the intentions are right with this product. When I wore it along my waist, it did tuck everything in. The "danger" in wearing it higher then your hips, unless you have short arms, is that this restraint will lock your arms in an uncomfortable position. The higher it rides the more it seemed to bend my elbows into an odd place. Like the woman on the box, this best suited around the hip area, a lit bit below if you have longer arms.

The corset is sturdy and firm but can be stretched; a thing they call Elastabind. In my opinion they can call it whatever they want because it works. When you position the corset to where you would like it, tie up the middle, and slip your arms through, you are pretty much confined to that position. Since the material is so firm when my hands are in the restraints, I didn't even notice a texture. When I was through playing, my wrist weren't chaffed or dried out. This pleased me greatly, seeing as I could spend more time in the product without having to take a break.

Size. The box states that this can fit up to a size 20 waist, which is about 38 inches. I have a size 15 waist (my hips are 7 months postpartum hips) and this items fit nicely once I let out the strings a bit. I am sure someone larger then a size 20 waist could wear this item if you changed out the current strings for something longer.

Performance

As a restraint, this product holds up to its name. The build of the product is such that as soon as you put it on and get it set, you aren't going anywhere! This material is tough and stood up to as much struggle as I could put against it. After a few sessions the corset didn't lose its elasticity nor did the seams making the arm restraints come loose. I can get this product on by myself up to a point. After I get one hand, I cannot get the other in without struggle. Have your partner help you.

The only thing that I find annoying about this product is the placement on your body in accordance with your arms. I have to wear the corset around my butt, sitting on the low hips, for my arms to be comfortable and not lock my elbows. I would suggest if you have problems with your elbows or arms you probably shouldn't use this item.

I fooled around with the corset and found that I couldn't really any other uses for it except a belt and the restraint.
    • Comfortable during use
    • Difficult to put on / use
    • Holds up to use well

Care and Maintenance

I wouldn't wash or dry this item if you didn't have to. If you had to get something off it I would use a warm washcloth to gentle wash the spot on the item. Please do not stick this in the dryer. The plastic on the item will warp and become damaged, thus rendering the item almost useless.
    • Hard to clean

Packaging

Have I told you how much I love Sportsheets product packaging? A purple and white box demonstrating the product, plain and simple. A naked man and woman are on the front, the woman in the corset restraint. On the back it tells you about the product, fits up to size 20 and that is can be turned inside out to be used as a belt. The packaging is not discreet, but it is playful. I use the box to store my restraint in when I am not using it. The box isn't small, but its squareish shape allows for stacking and tucking away.
    • Good for storage
    • Not discreet
    • Recyclable
Follow-up commentary
I still like the corset restraint. It's started to fray and loosen around the cuffs, but I do use it for a few hours at a time when I do use it. I might not purchase another one, due to the fact my arms lock sometimes with it on. If I didn't have the arm issue, I would most certainly buy another one.
