Fetish Fantasy Series Official Handcuffs

These were great cuffs, all in all. They stood up to use, worked well with hard use, and were easily removed. I don't like the safety latch too much, but it does come in handy, as I have PTSD and sometimes need to get out quickly. The keys are antique-looking, and they look really neat. When in need of cheap cuffs that you can get a lot of use out of, you should go for these, definitely.

Use

These are the perfect cuffs for a bondage or roleplaying night when you want to get down and dirty. If you want or need to escape, there is an easily accessible safety latch on each cuff, as well as a pair of very attractive antique-looking keys. These cuffs are easily a five-star pair for the beginner or experienced roleplayer, but they aren't always the most comfortable, especially for users with larger hands. The metal can also leave lines in your skin if these cuffs are put on too tightly. But all in all, they aren't too bad. For cheap cuffs, they do the trick, and they're quality too. My only con is that there is a safety latch on these. But it is a good thing indeed to have one.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

The design is pretty ergonomic, to a point, but these can be more uncomfortable for people with larger wrists or hands, as I said. I like the simple design of the cuffs and the keys, but I don't think the key locks work very well, and don't think they're really necessary, since there are easily accessible safety latches present. I think that these are fairly well-made. They're heavy and strong-looking, but they don't look scary at all. I'm not sure if they're waterproof, but it seems that they could indeed be used in the water. Since they're made of metal, they'll probably rust eventually, but not too soon. The material safety, at a 9, is fairly high which impresses me, and there is no smell or taste. I think for average users these are good fitting cuffs.

Performance

They can be a bit tight for larger wrists, but they fit me fairly fine. I was looking for a cheap handcuff that I couldn't get out of, and these I could get out of, so I was disappointed there. However, these are really nice for the price, they're easy to clean, and they're stylish. I don't plan on using the keys for the cuffs, but rather putting them on a necklace because they are stylish. Because of the safety latches on the cuffs I don't need the keys at all.

Care and Maintenance

To clean these, I suppose you could just use water to rinse them off, depending on how you use them. If you use water-based lube and it gets on the cuffs, you could just use water and maybe a bit of soap to wash it off. But if you decide to use oil- or silicone-based, you may have to use soap and water. So depending on use, and what you get on it, the cleaning needs may differ.

The box that these nice cuffs comes in is white, and has a picture of them and the keys on the front. It's a small flat-ish box and it shows them off well. There are instructions on how to take them off and put them on that are on the back of the box, and the keys are pictured as well. The cuffs are inside of a little plastic bag, and they keys are with them. No other packaging is included, and it is simple enough. The box can be recycled, and the plastic bag--I'm not sure.

Follow-up commentary
We've stopped using handcuffs in general due to my traumatic past coming back, but for the money these were all right to experiment with. Plus, the safety latch was a great addition and it made me feel safer, even though I trust her completely.

I think the safety latches are incredibly important, just in case things get out of hand during play and one person needs to be free immediately. Kind of a physical safe word, you know?

    • I was reading reviews and they seem to be at both ends of the spectrum. I love the price and simplicity of these, but are they painful?
    • I think it's mostly going to depend on your pain tolerance. Metal cuffs have the potential to be very painful, and some people enjoy that while others prefer something that hurts less.
    • Any handcuffs will cause pain if they are squeezed to tight.
