Fleece lined blindfold by Spartacus

Let's be realistic here that a blindfold, even a well-made, fleece-lined, leather blindfold, can only be expected to do so much. Even a diamond-crusted, heroin-releasing, exfoliating blindfold can only give you so much worth writing about. This one does none of those things, yet it's still definitely a recommendable purchase, an excellent addition to a toy chest.

What about a blindfold makes it good, worthy of buying, worth using again and again? Here is my list:

-Does it keep out light?

-Is it comfortable to wear?

-Does it create an ambiance of sensuality?

-Is it made well enough that it can survive repeated, strenuous uses?

On all accounts this blindfold is definitely adequate. Worn properly, it keeps out all light except for a tiny crack at the bottom around the nose, which is barely noticeable. The device is snug, definitely not meant for large heads, and while it was comfortable enough to give in to the sensory deprivation it provided, it might get a little too tight for some people.

Like any object that takes away your ability to see, this blindfold creates a great environment for sexual experimentation, letting go and reveling in the moment. This one is particularly thick, so it provides more escapism than say, a scarf, and has an appearance that lends itself to some light BDSM play.

Its true, crowning feature is durability due to extremely high quality materials and expert manufacturing. Even holding it in your hands you can tell this thing will last you through more than a few tussles.

My only concerns were minor, at most. For those of us who adore animals and don't use animal products, the fact it is constructed with leather causes me some consternation. And while I personally did not experience great sweating during my uses of this blindfold, someone pointed out to me that the fleece and leather combo could spell grossness for someone who is a prone to heavy brow perspiration. For these folks, I'm unsure of what advice to offer in terms of washing the blindfold.

For the rest of us, this makes an excellent addition to a toy chest, something to pull out on special occasions or merely to keep by the bed in case you want to sleep in a little later while the sun is already shining.
