Fluffy flogger - sex toy by Ruff doggie styles - review by MissyJ

This flogger is best used for couples or kinksters who are looking to purchase a lightweight, but somewhat thuddy flogger. The flogger is somewhat versatile because of the mixed materials which are strands of soft pink faux fur and strands of black soft suede leather. The suede leaves a tiny bit of sting but is mostly overpowered by the faux fur which evens out the impact to make it more “thuddy” than anything else.
Unless you're a seasoned kinkster ho’s into some soft thuddy play above all else, I would suggest this to beginner-intermediate couples. I wielded this flogger pretty hard upon my sub’s behind and it didn't even draw a whimper from him unlike other floggers and whipping toys I have.

The flogger's handle is made of black and pink leather criss-crossed over each other, forming a checkerboard pattern covering what I imagine is wood, used as the actual handle base. This is in fact good quality leather and not cheaply painted leather that will flake off or leave remnants of color on your hands if used too much. The handle is very sturdy and very long for those of us with longer fingers or bigger hands. You'll have no problem getting a nice firm grip on the handle if that's something you're worried about. The bottom and top base of the handle are also made of black shiny leather criss-crossed over each other to form a wide "v" shaped pattern. It all comes together quite nicely.



The top of the handle has a double braid made of pink and black leather approximately 8 inches in length and 4 inches on each side folded over to use as either a security strap. This is so the flogger doesn't fly out of your hand or as something to hang the flogger from if you happen to hang your toys on the wall. The leather on the strap is a bit more prone to cracking than any other part of the flogger due to how it folds when handled. It's nothing that can be pointed out without inspecting it closely however.


Now, the actual tails of the flogger are made of two materials. There are 12 made of the soft fluffy pink faux fur and approximately 24 tails that are made of the soft black suede leather. Together they look very pleasing to the eye with the mix of colors and how the actual tails fall. A lot of floggers have tails that will stick to each other for a while or won't "fall" correctly when opened for the first time and this definitely won't be a problem.



The only thing I found in this flogger's craftsmanship that I did not like is that some of the pink fluffy tails came with some kind of glue or goop on them and the material would not budge. It was minimal but there were at least 4 stains on different pinks tails of some kind of brownish yellowish glue and it won't come off at all. It's nothing you'd be able to see if you're looking at the flogger from afar but if you actually closely inspect it, you'll be able to see the stains on mine. I'm not sure if this was how they all are or if it was just a small error in mine.

Due to the material of the tails, which are suede leather and the pink soft Faux fur that overpowers the suede leather, this flogger didn't really have a sting or a mean bite to it. I wielded this flogger on my sub's behind for over 10 minutes with no reaction from him compared to whimpers and yelps with other floggers. It DID however, leave his behind a rosy pink color, so if you're a couple looking to try something out with a VERY soft sting and a thud above all else, this is definitely the flogger I would recommend for you guys. You'll have no problem giving the sub a taste of what a little sting and a whole lotta thud feels like in no time.

Usually floggers don't get too dirty and when they do, it's nothing an alcohol free wet wipe won't fix but with this flogger it's actually a bit different due to the faux fur. My flogger became a bit dirty and I relentlessly tried to remove the stains that would not budge from the pink fur. If you do find yourself having to remove stains or "clean" this flogger on the actual tails, I would suggest filling a small tupper with warm water and some baby soap to make a soap water mixture that won't harm the quality of your flogger, which is what I did. Take a small washcloth or rag and gently stroke over the affected area for a few minutes while making sure you're not pulling any of the faux fur out.
Afterwards, air it out to dry and store it as you would usually.
If the handle needs to be cleaned, as with most floggers, it's nothing an alcohol free wipe won't fix.

Although somewhat of a fluffball, this flogger is easily stored in any clothing drawer, closet or even suitcase. If you want to hang this flogger up, that will also be no problem due to the designated strap on the end of the handle.

The packaging on the flogger was minimal. When I received it, it was in a clear plastic baggie that had a rubber band around it. The plastic was very foggy colored, but crinkly type that's fairly noisy. There was also a tag attached to the base of the handle with the name of the manufacturer.
If you're worried about anyone seeing this, I would definitely recommend not top open your package until you're home alone because if you open your package and intend to carry the flogger around in nothing but it's packaging, people will be able to tell what it is in an instant.

The reason I rated this flogger a 4 out of 5 is because although the flogger performs spectacularly, I am into items that pack a bit of more sting to them. This is a great item that anyone starting out should have.
