Fluffy flogger - flogging toy by Ruff doggie styles - review by Greenleaf

The Fluffy Flogger by Ruff Doggy Styles is a gorgeous flogger that is perfect for beginners, light bdsm practitioners, or as a warm-up. This flogger is comfortable to use for a variety of hand sizes and is not too heavy to use for extended periods of time, but it's also solid enough that you don't feel like you're going to break it if you put force into your play. I have found the fluffy flogger to be excellent for both light sensation play and impact play. As a complete beginner, I am totally enamored with this flogger!

The Fluffy Flogger is made of leather, suede, and faux fur. The handle and hanging strap are a soft, pretty leather woven into a checker pattern. The falls are a mix of beautiful black suede and soft white faux fur - which is where the fluffy comes in! The construction is very solid and well made. The falls are tightly secured, the handle is not wiggly or loose at all, and the whole thing just feels so amazing in hand. The size of the handle was appropriate both for my smaller feminine hands and my partner's bigger hands (okay, giant bear paws). The handle is long enough to comfortably grip, without being unwieldy. The falls are a really nice length for a beginner - long enough to have fun with, but not so long that you're confused as to how to use them. The hanging strap does not seem to be designed as a wrist strap, but you could try and use it that way if you have small hands and feel comfortable gripping the bottom of the flogger's handle - but I wouldn't recommend it. I am just pleased as punch that I splurged on this toy, I loved the look and feel of it the second I pulled it out of the box!

The Fluffy Flogger is a delight to use, and to have used on me. It's easy to wield, as a beginner, and very difficult to actually hurt your partner with. It's comfortable and doesn't strain my wrist at all, and is easy to aim. The handle has a nice feel to it - it doesn't feel like it's going to slip out of your grasp, or too flimsy. Being on the receiving end is amazing. Though some reviewers have stated that they can't feel the difference between the faux fur falls and the suede ones, I definitely can - for a while. After prolonged use it stops being very evident. My partner was able to get both very nice thuddy feels out of the flogger, as well as some stingy feels by using just the tips of the falls. We also really love to use the flogger for sensation play with a blindfold. Dragging the flogger full length along my body, dangling and tickling with the tips, and separating the falls so that just fur or just suede is caressing me... all I have to say is : Wow.

The Fluffy Flogger is easy to store, but a little confusing to clean. I store my flogger hanging from it's strap on a hook in my closet. Conveniently, the falls stay nice and straight and don't get tangled this way. As for cleaning, I've not needed to do this yet, but as far as I know it should be safe to wash the handle (plain leather) with a damp cloth, and to surface clean the faux fur. Try not to get the suede wet at all, as it can stain.

The packaging for the Fluffy Flogger was beyond minimalistic. My flogger came in a simple plastic baggie with a tag on the handle. The packaging is not discreet at all, since it's clear, and not suited for storage, as it would be quite difficult to get a fluffy mass of falls back into a narrow tube of thin plastic.
