While not exactly a piece of heirloom type BDSM gear, the Breathable Gag is more than adequate for beginners and experimentation. This isn't the highest quality gag ever, but it functions well and looks pretty sexy when worn. It is a decent way to experiment with control, kink and restraint without spending a lot of cash. I CAN, but prefer not to. I actually have the one that has an "o" ring that goes in your mouth, so I can breathe through it.

It is a decent non-animal option. Though if you're looking for something *really really* nice, I'd recommend one of Aslan Leather's vegan silicone gags.
