Soft blindfold - headgear by Sportsheets - review by Chaotic Rantings

I bought Soft Blindfold in hopes of not only getting some play time in with it, but to see how well it would work for blocking out light when I get a migraine. I had tried one from a local drugstore and it had come with a thin string on the top of the mask and one at the bottom. The strings were flimsy and weak, and it was one-size-fits-all. So I wanted to try one like this, with a single wider strap, to see if it would work any better. And although this one is also a one-size-fits-all type of mask, the strap on it was snug without being overly tight. I can say, however, that someone with a larger sized head would probably have problems with it being too tight.

I actually had a migraine earlier today and was able to try it out to see if it would help in keeping bright light out. Indeed it did. I could only see light through the bottom if I actually focused my eyes at the bottom and tried to see the light. It worked great and I was able to drift off to sleep. When using it in play, it's the same thing. I can't really see out when it's being used on me. And what I can see is just a tiny bit of light; I can't see what's going on around me or anything. So it's great for sensory or BDSM play.

I love the fact that is made from faux fur and elastic. It doesn't make me feel all sweaty and I enjoy the material over my eyes. It's not at all scratchy as I thought it might be. I have not tried to wash it yet. If I did need to wash it, I would probably use a damp cloth or sponge rather than throwing it in the washer.
