When I opened the box to reveal my teddy bear paddle, I couldn't have been more excited. I've just been getting into Daddy/girl and Mummy/boy play with my lover, and this paddle was perfect for introducing more of a D/s aspect into our ageplay. I have a particular thing for novelty paddles, but this one was so unique and was next to impossible to find!

It's all leather, so perhaps not the best toy for the vegan in your life, but nice for someone (like me) who enjoys the way leather feels against skin. One side is just flat black leather, the other is a slightly raised and padded pink leather to make the teddy bear shape. It's pretty sturdy, with the leather stitched around what feels like a firm metal ruler-like core. There's some flex to this paddle, which is also nice.

I used it pretty harshly during a scene, but it didn't leave imprints when I used the side with the teddy face, so I think it's a mild to medium sensation toy. It doesn't pack much of a wallop. That works really well for my lover and I, because I'm not that into receiving pain and that sort of punishment scenario isn't often a part of the ageplay we do. It makes a satisfying smacking noise against a bare ass (or a crinkly diapered one), and that's pretty much what we wanted it for. This paddle would be excellent for starting a heavier S/m based scene or just on its own for some lighter over the knee discipline.

I also love how girly and unthreatening this is. It's just so cute! As I sometimes like to play a bratty little girl (think Angelica from Rugrats), this is perfect for scenes where I'm torturing my "little brother" or if I'm doing a babysitting role play. A wooden spoon may be more traditional for mummies, but I'm quite happy with my teddy bear.

I also really like that it has a loop on it. Doesn't seem like a big deal until you're at a play party and you can't hang some of your toys on your belt. Then it's suddenly a huge deal. So yay for that! It would be nicer if the loop was on the end of the handle instead of through the head, but it didn't get in the way really in my experience.

(Obviously to add- our ageplay is between well-adjusted, consenting adults and is not to be mistaken in any way for pedophilia. I wish I didn't have to bring that up, but just in case.)
