This toy is certainly not for those looking for a serious flogging tool. I would say it is a good introduction into the world of some rough play. It is gentle, but if swung hard enough could provide a little sting. If you want something hardcore and painful this isn't for you.

The item itself is constructed very well. The handle feels sturdy and when swinging it the leather belts move well. I can't see how this toy would diminish in quality, unless you are doing some serious flogging for an extreme extended period of time.

The toy was perfect for what me and my fiancé wanted. A light introduction to some rough play. It provided just the right amount of sting without being overly painful.It has a strap that you can attach to your hand so it stays accessible even when you aren't holding it.
