Fresh ankle restraints - ankle cuffs by PHS International - review by Cynnisin

As I waited for the fresh ankle restraints to arrive, I had mixed feelings... It has been some time since my husband and I have enjoyed bondage play. I was excited, but having never gotten to use real restraints, I was a little unsure about how I would really like them. In the past we had stuck with more make-shift restraints... belts, scarves and the like. Somewhere in my mind I was kind of worried it would be less kinky and simply feel more confining.

When the package arrived I peered inside the bubble wrap and nestled within were the least intimidating bondage restraints I have ever seen. Neon pink and blue vinyl ankle cuffs. The vinyl is soft and flexible and the insides of the cuffs are padded so longer sessions can still be fun without chafing.

As far as function, the Fresh Ankle Restraints are fantastic. They are comfortable and easy to wear and are also quite secure, but the aesthetics of these restraints weren't exactly the dominatrix orientated bondage straps I had envisioned. I have, however, been wondering if these would glow under a black light? I am sure that would make for quite a interesting experience...especially if you add in some black light sensitive body paint... just an idea.

One thing that was a hindrance was having to make a trip to the hardware store to procure tethers for my bed. If only a company would make some sort of bondage starter kit things would have been easier, but I digress (Editor’s note; they do make under the bed restrain kits). Simple nylon straps equipped with latching hooks work quite well, but I suggest for those like me to go for tethers which are easy to remove or be concealed because honestly, that would be a tough one to explain to the kids.

I would suggest the Fresh Ankle Restraints to anyone looking for fun, quality, bondage cuffs, though I found it a little difficult to take them seriously. Once I got my mind off the day glow colors I really enjoyed them. Just the right amount of padding without being too cushy and best of all, movement was easy. The D ring attached made freeing either leg a simple matter of unhooking a single latch instead of having to take the time to completely untie as I have had to do in the past. These could even be worn as accessories to bondage and fetish clubs or as dancer attire to add a certain amount of kink to your step, and coupled with the wrist cuffs, you could have bondage fun just about anywhere.

I have had, over all, good experiences with these restraints but (and I know I keep saying it), their cartoon like color scheme is a little bit of a turn off for me. However, I can’t give a bad review for this product simply because I'm not fond of the colors, so if you are looking for good restraints at a great price, then the Fresh Ankle Restraints are what you need. I award the Fresh Ankle Restraints 4 stars... definitely a quality item and an excellent addition to my toy chest.
