Fresh ball gag - bondage toy by PHS International - review by SightlessAngel

I'd never used a ballgag before, but my fiancé (who is also my Dominant) and I are really interested in the idea of trying one. I fell in love with the "Fresh" series when I saw the colorful collar on another site, and was super excited when I found the whole set here on EF. I just couldn't resist the vibrant pink and blue color scheme! So, of course, the first purchase from my wishlist was the Fresh ballgag. I knew 2" was definitely too big a size for my small mouth, but this ballgag was 1 3/4", so I figured I'd go ahead and give it a try since I was so crazy about the colors!

The package came in the mail(very discreet shipping, I'd like to add; which was appreciated), and it didn't take long before we went to the room to open it and check out the gag. But there were two disappointments; the immediate one was that the color scheme was still blue and pink, but the colors were much less vibrant than the one pictured on the site, as well as reversed--a pink ball on pale blue straps. I suppose it isn't a huge deal, since the main point of a ballgag is the toy itself, not just the colors; but I still found it quite disappointing myself, since the very bright blue and pink was what drew me to this set of toys to begin with.

The second disappointment, was that it turned out my mouth/jaw is even smaller than I had anticipated, and when I first tried to put in the ballgag, I couldn't really get it past my teeth. After a little while of irritatedly chewing at the ball (not hard enough to cause any damage) and trying to get around the whole "tiny mouth" issue, I was able to force the ball in with a little difficulty, but it hurts my jaw pretty much immediately after getting it in. Yes, it is common for ballgags to become uncomfortable, especially after being kept in for a long period of time, but I'm pretty sure that it's no good if they hurt right from the get-go. Besides, that doesn't make for a very fun time if you're distracted by an aching jaw! Because of the size of the ball not fitting me well, we haven't used it for any play yet, and probably don't plan on it unless I get used to a new, smaller ballgag and eventually feel like trying the Fresh ballgag again just to see.

The gag itself seems pretty decently made, for the price it is. There are, of course, better ones out there, but the Fresh ballgag is definitely a good quality gag for those who don't want the boring black/black, black/red, black/purple, etc coloring of most ballgags, and aren't looking to pay a whole lot of money for this kind of toy. Though I would like to add that the pink rubber ball is not removable from its soft straps, which would make cleaning a little less convenient than those which have removable balls. There were no problems like a nasty taste or smell from the ball, just a very faint one that personally didn't bother me, I hardly even notice it at all. So I would say that this is still a pretty good purchase, and would suggest it for people looking for a lower-priced, fun, functional ballgag; just not for myself, and probably not what I would suggest for anyone who knows they have a pretty small mouth/jaw.
