These clamps are best for those of us with masochistic tendencies who are looking for a bit of pain to go with the pleasure. Although I am just an initiate to BDSM, I was able to enjoy these clamps. However, I imagine that these would also be useful for intermediate users as well, because the tightness can easily be ramped up.

Be aware, that these clamps are not jewelry. If you are hoping to adjust these to a very light grip, you will be disappointed. Although you theoretically can adjust these to any tightness you like, they require a certain tightness to stay attached, and that tightness will most likely cause you some pain. Depending on your pain tolerance, that will likely be mild pain, however some reviewers have reported that this was too much for them. If you leave these loose they will most likely slip off as noted below.

Given that these clamps have a chain attached, they are easy to snag when you're not paying attention. I accidentally ripped these off my husband the first time I tried them on him. He has an fairly high pain tolerance, but that made him yelp!

The chain and clamps are both made of what appears to be plated metal. It is shiny and smooth, and I can run my hand over the chain without feeling any burrs or seams. The chain itself is not heavy, but it has a pleasant weight to it. The top chain with clamps weighs in at 1.2oz and the clit portion weighs 1.3oz for a total of 2.5oz. This is enough that I can feel the chain hanging, but not enough to really pull on the clamps.

The tips are made of what feels like rubber. They provide quite a bit of padding and help to spread the pressure and pinch of the clamps over a wider area.

As I mentioned before, there are 2 pieces to these clamps. The nipple part has 2 clamps attached permanently to each other by a chain. This part is about 18 inches from clamp tip to clamp tip. It has an extra ring in the center to which the other part can be clipped. The other piece is about 22 inches long from end to end. However, since my torso is not that long, my husband moved the clip further down the chain so that it fits my body better. With this flexibility, you can fit these clamps to just about anyone.




Each clamp is made of a single flat piece of metal with rubber tips on each end. These tips are removable. Underneath the tips, the clamps flatten out and the edges are smoothed so that you could use them without tips if you so desire. The tips can come off accidentally, so be careful not to lose them.



Each clamp has a small metal ring which is pushed towards the end to tighten. I was worried that since the ring and clamp are both smooth, that the ring would slip unintentionally. However, this has not been the case, and the clamps have stayed closed. The photo below is of my husband's hand with the ring fully tightened.



Altogether, the quality of construction is quite good.

These clamps are adjustable anywhere from mild discomfort to intense pain. Neither my husband nor I have used clamps before, and we are still getting used to it. We like to push limits, but we are taking these relatively slow.

The major problem with the design of these clamps is that even on their tightest setting, they have a tendency to slip. If you put these on and leave them be, they will probably stay. My husband, however, likes to put these on me and tug on the chain a bit. This seems like the whole point of having a chain to begin with. Even a light tug can dislodge them which is disappointing and annoying. If you remove the tips, they have a bit more grip, but even then, they tend to slip over time.

They are metal so washing them is easy. Just remember that this product is metal, so they have the potential to rust. I haven't had any problems, but just make sure you dry them out before you put them away. You may need to remove the rubber tips before drying so water doesn't get trapped inside. Just don't lose the tips down the drain!

The best part about these is that they do make my nipples and clit more sensitive. I was a bit nervous about the clit clamp, but if applied properly, it can lead to some intense pleasure. My husband was able to attach it and tease my clit with his tongue which led to some powerful sensations.

Also, if you are looking for pain, you can definitely get it with these clamps. They do start to sting after a short time of wearing them. If ripped off suddenly they cause a very sharp intense pain for about 20 seconds. Being new to clamps, this leads to some nervous anticipation, but it definitely adds a new edge to play time.

The slipping is annoying, and I don't know if I would buy these again just because of that issue.
