Fur lined paddle by Sportsheets - review by Eva Schwaltz

The Fur Lined Paddle is a great flogger for beginners. One side is leather, and the other is faux fur. The faux fur delivers soft, thuddy blows, while the leather side is stingy, but the sensation doesn’t last long.

The fur is soft, but definitely feels fake. I can rub my hands up and down the paddle, and none of the fur will fly off. The leather side feels very smooth to the touch, almost feels like plastic, but it is leather. In between the two layers, I can feel what feels like a little rod running almost the whole length of the paddle. I assume this is so that it can maintain it’s shape, and shouldn’t break during use.

The paddle is shaped like a typical paddle, so anyone who sees this will know what it is. The handle is nicely shaped to fit in your hand, and is 5 inches long which should be comfortable for most users. It has a nice rounded head, and a narrow neck leading into the paddle. The entire length of the paddle, including the handle, but not the nylon strap, is 14 inches long, and the width at the widest part is 2 ¾” inches. The edges are nicely rounded, and all the stitching appears to be done very well. Sportsheets is stamped on the leather side of the handle. The nylon strap is for hanging the paddle on your wall, or on a door knob, but you can cut it off if you think you have no use for it. You can also use the strap on your wrist while yielding it for extra support.

The paddle doesn’t come packaged in anything, but there is a little tag on the strap showing you the other colors it comes in, and tells you it was made in the USA. The tag easily rips off. There was no noticeable smells when I received the paddle.

Preferably you should try to keep the paddle dry so that the leather doesn’t get ruined or mat up the fur. If you happen to get lubricant or bodily fluids on either side, take a damp cloth with no soap to wipe it down. Make sure to let it completely dry before storing it away.
