Use

Like all impact toys, riding crops are designed to add sensation to your kinky play sessions. Due to the longer length of a riding crop than a paddle or other toys, it works best to use this type of implement when there is space between your partner and yourself. That makes it best for foreplay-type situations. Consider commanding your partner to clean the dishes - with a playful swat on the butt if you find that he/she misses a spot.

Because of the required ability to hit relatively accurately to take advantage of the "faux fur" design, this crop may not be the best choice for beginners. However, if you're willing to take time to learn how to use and aim the crop, this still make be a good choice for you.

As this crop has a relatively wide tip, isn't the easiest to control, and includes faux fur which may be harder to clean, it may not make a great genital crop. You may want to keep the use of your riding crop to non-body-fluid areas.

A riding crop is also particularly long with no way to fold it up or make it shorter. This means you'll want to plan-ahead for storage purposes. Behind a headboard or under a bed tends to work well.

Design / Craftsmanship / Size / Material / Features

The Eden Furry Heart Crop comes across as decently well-made. The tip is made from faux fur and leather. The crop itself seems to be made from a flexible-type plastic and is covered in a braided nylon material. The handle is made from a braided leather with a single strand of leather as a hanging strap/wrist strap.

Like all riding crops, this crop has a decent amount of flexibility to it during use. It isn't unwieldy, but it will definitely behave like a crop when used - it will "wiggle" back and forth while using. It offer a "tap" noise when the tip of the crop hits skin. It's particularly light-weight and will be very easy to move around and use.

The crop seems like it will handle standard use with no problem. Particularly rough use may break or harm the cane, but if you're using the cane with moderate strikes and mostly intending to hit your partner with the tip of the crop, you will not have a problem.

Performance

The biggest thing to be aware of with the Eden Furry Heart Crop is how much precision it requires. At first glance, you may see the faux fur heart-shaped tip and assume it will be less painful than a full-leather or other type of riding crop. On some level, you are correct. On another level, you are wrong. If you manage to hit with only the furry, heart-shaped part, it is much, much more benign in sensation than a lot of other riding crops. However, if you misjudge and strike with the bottom-quarter of the heart, it's decisively painful. This is because this is where the crop itself is "inserted" into the heart, and it produces a very, very stingy sensation.

As the top, you may not even notice the difference. You may think that your strikes are falling under the "soft" variety while your partner is regularly receiving the stingy sensation from misjudged strikes.

For that reason, you need to try this crop out on yourself and understand the different sensations. Using the upper thigh works wonderfully. Along those lines, it also works best if you practice and are very familiar with using this riding crop. If you're practiced and able to accurately judge what part you're striking your partner with, you'll have a much better time using this toy.

Once you've learned how to handle the riding crop and where the best spots are, this faux fur riding crop can offer a good mix of sensations in a single toy. The tip of the crop offers a softer, gentler hit to it that feels more like a very gentle, closed-hand tap. The actual tip of the crop itself feels much more like a sharp spank of the hand in a very concise spot. Harder strikes with the stingy portion of the crop could easily cause bruising or pain, so be very aware of how much your partner wants and how hard you're striking.

Handling this riding crop is simple, however. Both ends of the handle could use more of a "stopping" point (wider widths than the handle itself), but the large area for gripping means the riding crop is easy to pick up and quite easy to handle for both larger or smaller hands. The Eden Furry Heart Crop has a natural feeling to the handling.

Care and Maintenance

The tip of the crop is made from faux fur and a leather. Using warm water and a slightly damp wash cloth will allow you to wipe down the tip of the crop. Leather doesn't hold up well with harsh soaps, so avoid using soap to clean the tip or handle of your crop. For this reason, if you use your crop near bodily fluids, you should consider this crop fluid-bonded and not use it with other partners.

The length of the crop is made from a nylon material. It just requires wiping it down with a damp washcloth for regularly cleansing. If you happen to get bodily fluids on it, though, don't forget to add the soap.

For storage, the crop needs to lie flat. Do not bend it or squish it into a small space it doesn't fit into. It will warp the length of the crop permanently. It can also be stored by hanging it from the hanging strap that hangs off the handle.

Packaging

The riding crop comes packaged in a long, unopened plastic bag. You'll need to open up the bag to get that the riding crop. That's all of the packaging.
