If you are looking for a gag for practical use look around on Eden a bit more. Eden has dozens of gags that will satisfy any Dominate's need to muffle their sub. This ball gag is best used for a prop. Perhaps a couple starting out could use it for sensual play, to adjust to having something strapped into their mouth. Unfortunately, this product is best as a low budget visual aide and not much else.

This product is poorly made and designed. Advertising itself as "Made in China" the quality shows. I have been fond of the Sex & Mischief line in the past, and this is quite disappointing. This product will not last long if it is used as an actual ball gag. I, myself, bit down on it and with little pressure sunk my teeth in to the gums.

The ball itself is either soft plastic or rubber. The packaging lists it as both. This mystery material has a strong plastic smell and taste that didn't go away with a good wash. The polyester backed vinyl straps are soft and rather thin. They are made to look like leather, yet can't quite seem to pull it off. The hardware is supposedly nickel-free — that is one plus at least. The ball is two inches wide and fits comfortably inside my somewhat small mouth. The vinyl straps at the corners of the mouth cut in however to both lips and the ball (leaving little plastic pieces to chip out). The strap is 26" long with 11 size settings so it should fit most everyone.

This ball gag did not live up to expectations. Less than two minutes out of the box, I had destroyed it by biting deep into it, despite having applied little pressure. I was hoping for a decent rubber gag to use during tie and tease sessions but it felt more like a child's bouncy ball out of a vending machine. This was a very disappointing toy.

Wash the ball in a mild soap or mouthwash, and rinse well with water and wipe down the straps with a damp cloth. This gag should be stored in a bag to avoid lint, or wiped down prior to use.

Sex & Mischief's solid "red" ball gag arrives in a cardboard box with pictures of a woman posing with the gag on it. It is marked as many sex toys are: "sold as an adult novelty only." No instructions are included in or on the box.

This ball gag, besides being dangerous if used as a functional toy, is also not quite red. The ball gag is more of an odd, orange color.
