We tie each strap to bedposts - you can either separate the straps between four bedposts, tie both hands to one bedpost (without feet), or sit in a knelt position tie your hands. It worked best for us on a queen sized bed and I definitely think the taller you are the better (as you don't have to stretch as much). I'm 5 foot 5 inches and I have to stretch a bit to be tied down completely.
