Great cuffs to start and grow with

Overall, I think that these are great cuffs. They are ideal for beginners because they can be used in a way that the person being restrained can remove them if desired. Alternatively, they can be secured using the velcro straps through the D rings instead of the simple clasp, making them considerably more difficult for the restrained person to remove. In this way, an intermediate user can still enjoy them, so you won't be rushing out to replace them as you gain experience.

Use

From beginners to intermediate BDSM fans, these cuffs are what you need in order to restrain someone by their wrists or ankles. Use the Velcro straps to put them on and then use the D-rings to secure them to either each other (1 clip included) or something else. The D-rings give plenty of room for using various ropes, tethers, and attachment devices (clips, etc.) to position the secured person in just the way that you prefer.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

These cuffs are well made with nylon webbing, neoprene, and metal rings. Although they should hold up well over time, they are not heavy duty.

I have an older set of these which are made with heavier neoprene, thicker webbing, much stronger metal hardware, and more secure Velcro. It is unfortunate that Sportsheets has lowered their quality. While the newer ones are still well-made, they will be easier to outgrow as you look for more secure restraint options.

Performance

These cuffs are nice and easy to put on, thanks to the Velcro. The neoprene ensures that they are comfortable, unless, of course, you want to create a bit of discomfort, in which case you can strap them on tighter.

Because of the Velcro straps are adjustable, they fit both wrists and ankles well. However, on a larger ankle they might not be quite as secure, as there would be less Velcro in contact to itself to keep them on.

The best thing about these is the all-around flexibility. They are a simple with a good D-ring, making them a great foundation for all sorts of restraint play. They can be used as simple handcuffs, combined with ropes or tethers to bind in a specific position, or for many other uses. The uses are only limited by your imagination.

Care and Maintenance

Neoprene and the nickel-plated metal are both nice and easy to wipe clean. The nylon webbing, however, could be harder to clean liquids and fluids off of because of the texture and porosity of it. Depending on your scenario, this might not even be an issue.
