Great for Beginners

These are for less than "beginner", for people who are "pre-beginner", maybe in the "experimenting" with nipples stage.

I was disappointed with the (lack of) intensity, and the fact that they fall off too easily. I would only recommend these for experimenting with gentle nipple play, and for mild tugging on nipples during self-play.

Use

Great set of starter clamps. If you have used any other type of nipple clamp (or if you've had kids and breastfed), you will find these lacking in the intensity department. If you tend to "bounce" (or move at all) while having sex, these won't stay on for very long.

Since the clamps do not provide an intense pinch and as they are "splash-proof", they can be used on the clitoris. Due to the size and vibrations, the sensation is like a bullet vibe.

Material / Texture

The texture is described as "velvety". I agree with this description. These feel very luxurious compared to metal clamps (or clothespins), they are smooth, warm to the touch and comfortable. The material is "Rubber coate": Non-porous and phthalate-free, Velvet cote™, is easy to clean, lubricant friendly and a great conductor of vibrations. Hypo-allergenic and Latex free, there is no smell to them.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

The design is aesthetically pleasing (especially for a beginner, as some people may find the metal ones a bit intimidating). Nipples need to be hard for these clamps to stay on. The battery compartment has a bit of weight to it, but makes the Nipplettes heavy on one side causing them to slip off with breast movement.

Each clamp measures 2.75" in length and open a full 1" wide. They each take 3 watch batteries (6 total), the package comes with 6 batteries to get you started.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations were lower then I anticipated (even with new batteries), quite disappointing. The button is easy to click on and off, and the small screws used to increase/decrease pinching intensity are easy to twist. The battery life is good, considering they don't stay on too long. These are advertised as waterproof, however, the Eden Fantasy's page indicates (via "RedHotHippieChick" review) "They are not waterproof, as advertised, but rather more like splash-proof".
    • Comfortable during use
    • Easy to use
    • Not very stimulating

Care and Maintenance

Easy to clean and care for, they do not pick up lint and are small enough to keep virtually anywhere. The materials can be cleaned with anti-bacterial soap and water or wipe down with isopropyl alcohol(do not boil).
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

As with most toys, the packaging is too bulky for the item. It's not in a box they can be stored in, making it useless and a waste. The instruction page was easy to read and follow and explained how to insert the batteries.

Personal comments

These were my first nipple clamps. I purchased them after my hubbie and I discovered how much I enjoyed nipple pinching during sex. I was intimidated by the metal ones, and wanted something labeled as "beginner". I also thought the vibrating feature would be pleasant and was really looking forward to trying them out.

Experience

I didn't consider our nipple play "intense", but if (like me) you've had children and breastfed, your nipples will probably have already "been through the ringer", and you should not count yourself among the "beginner" group. If you like your nipples pinched (not just tugged), these are not going to do much for you.
