This is a great kit for BDSM beginners, and for those with a full toybox already.
The blindfold and gag both have the same closure type: two clear plastic clips which slide together sideways, which is very hair-friendly: no buckle feeding, no snaps, no ties. The clips adjust tightness from end to end.
The gag and blindfold are both made of silicone, which is a great material for beginners - there is no smell or taste of sulfurous rubber, or anything else for that matter. And it is very soft, smooth, warm, and skin friendly. And it can be cleaned with plain soap and water, and can even be boiled for sanitation.
The blindfold material is thin enough that vague shadows can be seen if moderately strong light is behind. This can be fixed with a scarf or necktie to block shadows, which is aided by this blindfold's large size and soft, contour-hugging tendency to block out sight around all the edges of the nose and cheeks. The nose cut-out is a little short but could be modified to fit the wearer better.
The edge of the strap is a little thin for comfort and digs into the corners of the mouth a bit, especially if it is tight enough to be difficult to push out. As with the blindfold, the ballgag can be enhanced by tying a scarf or necktie around the mouth to hold the gag in place instead of relying on the tension of the silicone straps pulling in to do it.
The 1+3/4" gag is very large and I would only recommend it for someone with a very large mouth or a lot of experience with ballgags, otherwise go with the smaller, 1+1/4". I bought this kit for my wife to wear, and the gag started aching her after only a couple minutes and still hurt the next day after only half an hour. My mouth is much larger, and when I wore it it caused my jaw to ache, though not as quickly and not the next day at all, and I also was made to wear it much tighter than she was. The tightness made the straps dig into my lips a lot due to the thinness of the material compared to leather, or even thicker or differently shaped silicone would, but for the price and all the other good qualities, this is a small, and even fun, tradeoff.
Overall, this is an excellent kit, just make sure you select the right size gag for the person who is going to wear it. Highly recommended!
