When you cut off one sense, the others are far more heightened. This can be seen in people who are blind. Even with the fact that they can't see, they can hear, feel, smell and taste things far better than those of us that have the sense of sight along with the other abilities. There is also the dining in the dark trend that is happening right now around the world. In short, people have dinner in total darkness. They don't know what they are eating once it's placed in front of them. The diners are supposed to learn to use the rest of their senses as they eat.

Some of this heightened used of the other senses is used in kink as well. That is also mixed with the not knowing what is coming or what is being run on the body can make for a wonderful scene. Many subs love the not knowing what is going on and that head swimy feeling that not being able to see can happen.

Having a good blindfold is important for anyone that works with taking away sight from someone temporarily. I have tired a number of eye masks and blindfolds over the years. Usually eye masks work the best because they do cut the light around the eyes the best. I have some hard leather ones, but I was wanting something a bit softer for a sub that likes a much softer touch. I picked up The Love Mask for him.

The Love Mask is made of satin and is a bit padded with an elastic strap that goes around the back of the head. It comes in red, white, black, purple, and pink. I got the black one.

When it comes to cleaning The Love Mask, I just hand wash it with light soap and warm water.

I did find a bit of a problem with The Love Mask. The strap across the back pulled on the mask itself right across the eyes. The fabric would fold a bit and press into the eyes. This would happen even with the padding that is in the blindfold. I tried it on myself and had that problem as well as my sub.

It's too bad that it folds and presses on the eyes because other than that The Love Mask is a wonderful blindfold.
