Floggerella - whip discontinued by Leatherbeaten - review by J's Alley

Alright, so size aside...I like this cute little toy. Really, I do. J? Not so much. I was expecting this to be larger, I don't know why; I can read, and I did read, the specs, but this is still much smaller than I was thinking. Oh, and I would have enjoyed a little more "leathery" smell...but hey, I will live.

The Floggerella is about 18 inches from tail tip to the end of the handle (7.25" being handle and about 11" being tails). Wow, that is really tiny. But tiny doesn't mean ineffective. The Floggerella, while not able to compete with heavy hitters, does do exactly what it is meant to do. It hits with a sting and a quick, but not too loud, snap. While I did pink up some, I wasn't left in any actual pain (unfortunately I like pain).

There are a total of 10 leather tails that are light weight attached to the plastic handle, and believe me, there are at no risk of falling off or coming apart in any way. The tails are a slick leather on one side and a suede on the other, and they are so soft. I do wish there were more tails and that the leather was a bit heavier for a harder impact, but I am quite sure the Floggerella was not made for that type of play. It does very well in sensual play however.

The Floggerella can be dragged along the skin for a sexy and sensual feeling, and the tails dancing along the skin are to die for...really, it feels amazing. The only real downside we found was that the size of the handle was too small and awkward for J. He simply wasn't comfortable holding it. He says that the tails are fine, but he would like a thicker handle...of course for the sake of proper balance Leatherbeaten would have to adjust the weight of the falls which would lead to a whole new flogger and Floggerella would lose its purpose.

The Floggerella has a loop on the end of the handle that it can be hung by, or you can simply slide it into a drawer. The flogger is so small that it can be easily slipped into a purse or any small bag for travel as well. Portability is so great. Also, since it is so small it doesn't make a huge snap when it hits. Because of the small sound it is great for dorm or apartment use, or even hotel use...unless of course you're a screamer...I can't help you there. To clean it just wipe it down with a damp cloth every now and again.

Overall...this is a great product as long as you realize it isn't meant for a heavy beating. As a sensual item, it hits like it should, drags well, and tickles like no other. When it is used properly it is pretty much perfect.

And for beginners: You may like this small non-threatening flogger as a starting point. It has a very small bite to it, but doesn't really hurt. It is more of a small stinging sensation that lasts a few seconds. This could give you an idea as to whether or not you might enjoy impact play.
