Rubber ball gag - mouth gag discontinued by Spartacus - review by Steel Blue

The Mouth Gag by Spartacus is an easy to use gag that doesn’t have a lot of frills. The leather straps are twenty-two inches long and allow for a wide range of adjustability through the use of eleven holes. The gag itself is made from rubber and is two inches in diameter.

We did have some initial problems when using the gag. My girlfriend has some medical issues with overextending her jaw so this gag was just a little bit too big for comfort. If you or your significant other are prone to the same issues then I would recommend using the Beginner BallGag by Tantus. Even with a perfectly healthy jaw, I do have some problems wearing it for an extended period of time.

That issue set aside; there is something incredibly thrilling about not being able to speak during a heated bedroom session. I’m getting a little bit warmed up thinking about it myself. The mouth gag does exactly what it is suppose to, you cannot speak while wearing it. Aside from being functional and moderately stylish, it is available in three colors: red, purple, and black.

The gag isn’t very hard and leaves room for the wearer to bite down (in case your friend gets carried away with that riding crop). It does not really matter how hard you bite the material, you won’t come close to breaking the surface. It seems pretty easy on your teeth as well.

The gag is made from rubber and there are a few major things that might tip you off to that immediately. The product smells very strongly of, you guessed it, rubber. It also tastes very strongly of rubber but that taste will subside after a couple of uses. I’ve used this gag quite a few times and unfortunately the rubber smell has yet to fade away.

Since rubber is porous the gag is extremely difficult to clean and maintain. Be sure to clean it before and after use. The gag has a tendency to pick up any hair and stray fibers from clothing, bedding, carpeting, etc. These are all things that you probably don’t want in your mouth, so maintain the gag.

Despite its many downfalls; The Mouth Gag by Spartacus is a decent product. The gag weighs in at being mid-range, with a price tag of twenty-seven dollars. Silicone is always a better alternative than rubber but generally more expensive. If you are on a budget, looking for a ball gag, and can handle the two inches then the Mouth Gag may be for you.

The Mouth Gag while a little big, was a fun product to use. The clean up and maintenance detract significantly from fun and the smell of rubber just won't go away! For our purposes, we'll stick to silicone. For those of you who prefer rubber; the Mouth Gag is the way to go.
