Medium rubber whip - whip discontinued by Sportsheets - review by removedacnt

I absolutely adore my Sportsheets Rubber Whip. I had never seen a rubber whip until I came to Edenfantasys. I was looking for a new whip, when I came across these. Sportsheets makes their rubber whips in three sizes. There is a standard larger version, a medium one, and smaller one called the junior.

Deciding what size to get was not easy. I kept reading the different reviews and using the "view actual size" feature, which by the way is an extremely helpful tool, and I finally decided the medium was just right. But now after using it I think we might get the larger one as well.

It comes in 5 beautiful vibrant colors. I chose the purple one, and I'm very happy with the color, it is a very nice deep purple. The Medium whip is 14 inches long, with the loose strands being 9 of those inches. The handle consists of a clear dense plastic tube, with a large black bead on each end of it. The part that your hand holds is 2 1/2 inches long.

I have tiny hands and it fits mine just right. My husband's hands are quite a bit larger but he didn't seem to have any problems handling it. Also at the top of the handle is a nylon braided cord strap. This is good for hanging it over your wrist while using it and hanging it up when you're not. All in all this is a very sturdy and well made whip, and will probably last us for many years.

When you brush it oh so lightly across someone's skin, it has a nice little tickle to it. Then all of a sudden "crack"; there's a nice sting right where those strands land. It's not too painful. I would say it can have about the same impact as a good slap. But of course that depends on how light or hard you hit with it.

It also doesn't leave any marks, just a nice rosy shade of pink. The medium length is a really great size for playing during foreplay and sex. When I'm in control of a whip I'm always afraid of hitting my partner in a place that I didn't intend for it to land. I don't always have the best aim. Not enough practice yet, I guess; which is one of the reasons I chose this size. I haven't had that problem with this. It lands right where I want it every time.

After using this I now think I prefer rubber to leather. The strands on this are so thin, and there's a decent amount of them. My husband and I are into the lighter end of BDSM, so for us this is a perfect little addition to our ever growing collection. I have been on both the giving and receiving end of this toy, and I have to say I've loved it for both.

When you need to, it can be cleaned nicely with a bit of warm water and soap; then hung dry. We do hang it in the closet when we're not using it to prevent tangles. The rubber whip can tangle fairly easily, but just brush your fingers through it lightly and the tangles come right out.

This is a great little whip for beginner and the advanced alike. And the price is more than reasonable for this type of toy. Like I said, I think we'll probably be buying the larger version... as soon as I decide what cool color I want that one in.

We used this again the other night. Or should I say my husband used it on me. And I still love it! It creates the nicest sensations, from a light tickle to a nice sting. This is our favorite "go to" whip when we're in a little BDSM mood.
