Supercuffs - wrist cuffs by Sportsheets - review by Tasty Treat

The Super Cuffs are exactly that: super! I consider myself more beginner or intermediate as far as bondage is concerned, so I was not exactly sure what to expect from these wrist cuffs. I've used other handcuffs before, but these were by far much more effective and pleasant.

One of the great things about this product is the ease in which they can be put on. Technically, one can put them on themselves. But taking them off is a two-person job. The directions which came with the packaging were explicit both pictorially and through writing, which helped when my lover and I were hot and heavy. Instead of spending hours reading over unimportant details, we could quickly get to the point of how to put these wrists cuffs on.

These cuffs fit my tiny wrists, which measure slightly smaller than 6 inches circumference, but the cuffs themselves can be expanded up to approximately 12 inches... that's one very large wrist! I'd suggest these Super Cuffs for anyone who was interested in light bondage, and there is no direct inflicted pain from the cuffs. Keep in mind, these cuffs don't let you go! Prepare yourself for continuous bondage while wearing these because Houdini himself would be vexed in trying to escape. Take comfort though that your partner can easily remove them in less time than it takes to put them on.

The Super Cuffs, my new found friend, are made up of a combination of Neoprene and Velcro. The Velcro is not like your traditional shoe-Velcro, and is well constructed. I have strapped these from my wrists to my bed posts about a dozen times, and there is still no visible wear-and-tear to them. They are fantastically designed and built; although I've only had them for a short period of time, I would imagine that they will last for quite a long time.

The Neoprene offers a cushion to the restraint, so does not offer pain. These are intentionally created for bondage rather than Sadism/Masochism. They are comfortable while still being confining. They don't leave burns on my wrists or uncomfortable depressions in my skin after they are removed.

There was no scent to the Cuffs, unlike some leather-based bondage materials, which is always a benefit to non-leather materials.

Yet another great aspect of this product is the look. They are appealing to the eye because of the basic, non-cheesy aesthetics. I think if these cuffs were covered in glitter I might find it a bit too amusing to use them at all. This isn't to say they aren't "fun" and I certainly can get a laugh out of using them when appropriate. But overall I did not want an excessively feminine look to the cuffs, particularly since I desired for my partner to wear them too, and I am not sure he would have if they had been patterned with Hello Kitty designs. The simple black design is ideal for me, one of the reasons I ultimately purchased these.

The design of the cuffs allows for several uses: they can be linked together with an approximate 8 inch length of strong Velcro, which permits the restrained person to vary their arm movements a bit. They can be linked closer together though, which reduces the amount of movement. Another use for these cuffs is to un-link them from one another, and restrain them separately. (In my case I restrained them to the bed posts.)

These cuffs are honestly one of my better sex-toy purchases to date. They definitely met both my and my partner's expectations. They are fun and restraining while maintaining a comfortable level of sensuality due to the comfort of the wrists themselves. It takes about thirty seconds to fasten the cuffs, unlike some restraints which give the impression of a strange puzzle to put together rather than a sex toy.

Since I am small-boned, my partner and I discovered that not only could the super cuffs be used for restraining my wrists, but my ankles as well. This was an unexpected delight, especially since the cuffs are intended essentially for wrists.

My partner, who is tall and bigger boned (a 6'3" male usually is...) still lights up when he is the "victim" of the evening, so it is apparent to me that although these fit a female with small wrists, they also are comfortable for large wrists as well.

A piece of advice I have if you are looking into purchasing these Super Cuffs is to make sure you are completely trusting of your partner. These are difficult (nearly impossible) to un-do solely once you are restrained, and requires help to release the strong Velcro.

I take care of my Super Cuffs by wiping them down with a chamois afterward to remove any excess sweat so that they don't begin to smell, although the neoprene seems to wick away the sweat from the skin so it is not necessary to do so.

Storage is easy since they wrap up so tightly, you could easily fool anyone by putting them in a sock drawer and claiming they were were some sort of knee or ankle brace. Or, if you want, shove them under the mattress for easy access!
