Vegan ball gag - mouth gag discontinued by ASLAN Leather - review by Red Vinyl Kitty

This ball gag by Aslan Leathers is very well made and a really wonderful piece to add to your bondage collection. Weather or not you are vegan doesn't really matter, everyone will love this piece. The red "leather" really has the same qualities I used to love in real leather pieces before I became vegan. I even thought it smelled like leather straight out of the package. The top side of the leather is a beautifully rich red color, and looks very leathery. The underside has the look of leather, but it isn't quite as stiff.

Beginners and advanced users with small jaws will love this ball gag, but users who like having their mouth feel "full" will be disappointed in the ball size. The ball is only 1.5", and I found that for me, as a more advanced player - I was disappointed. If you are just starting out this is a pretty non-threatening piece, and it even disassembles for cleaning!

The one major drawback to this gag is that it is very large! The smallest it will cinch down to is 18.5", and the largest is 23.5". This gag was really way too big for me, and I had to initially hold the gag in my mouth with my teeth. This was just a pain in the jaw, so we decided to punch a few more holes in it to get it to the right size. The vegan "leather" this is made out of was really very sturdy, but we were able to punch a hole in it using a nail and hammer. Just be careful when you are doing this.

If you're not handy with a hammer and nails, I would recommend you first measure around your head where your gag will be, and compare your measurements with the ones I have listed above.

Another pesky nuisance with this gag is that the actual straps themselves are about three quarters of an inch wide. For me, this was too wide, and I actually got a couple tears in the corner of my mouth while we were playing. For me, this won't keep me from playing with the gag, but I did feel it was worth a mention, as a lot of people probably will dislike this a lot.

Once we adjusted this gag, it was wonderful to use. I enjoyed the feeling of the silicone in my mouth. It is very smooth, and I did not find it to have an odor either pleasant or unpleasant. The straps in the back are very adjustable, even if it adjusts on the "large" side of things.

One thing which I absolutely adore about this piece (and wish all gags were required to do!) is that the ball itself detaches completely for cleaning. The ball is made of silicone, so you can boil it, use soap and water, or a toy cleaner. The ball itself is totally easy to sterilize, but unfortunately you probably don't want to share this around because ball gags tend to make you drool, and that drool is likely to get all over the pleather. The pleather itself is much more difficult to clean,the package suggests that you just use a damp cloth and a very mild soap. I do not think that this will totally sterilize the pleather, so this toy is going to be a solo toy for me at least.

The ball gag will fit very easily into a drawer or toy box, since the straps are very flexible.

The gag was packaged simply, in a plain plastic bag with a little tag attached telling you how to clean it.
