I heart it

Overall I really liked these cuffs. They have held up to struggle and pulling. The buckle is strong and you can tie rope or attach chain to the rings and it works peachy keen. I do recommend these for beginner and advanced alike, because they're not too pricey and they're great quality for the price. They're also not too girly, even with the little red hearts.

Use

These are definitely a favorite. They are leather and metal, and are pretty durable. I like the design- they have cute little hearts down the band of it, and the stitching is red. It adds aesthetics to the BDSM kink, always a must. They only come in one size, but they're 10 1/2" long so they're pretty adjustable. Each cuff has a buckle closure and ring attachments so that you can run rope or clip chain to it if you prefer so you can tie someone up easily with these. They are obviously ankle restraints, and there is a matching wrist cuff set also sold on EdenFantasys. This is great for beginners or advanced, because it's durable, easy to use, and made of good materials that will last. I'm partial to leather, sorry for the "save the cow" advocates, this isn't a product for you!

I will say though, these are pretty sexy. I let my sub wear them in public as a sort of jewelry, more for me showing them off on her. It was great, she loved it!

Okay, I like to give statistics first here.. Just in case you don't read anything else, you'll want to know that!

Obviously leather is non-porous and SUPER easy to clean

Now, onto the good stuff...
The leather breaks in pretty nicely after a couple of uses. My sub tugged quite a bit at these and they held strong. There was a lot of struggling at one point and they still didn't show any wear for it. They are waterproof, so you can use them in the shower should you choose, though I don't know what you'd tie them up to unless just each other. You know, I don't have BDSM chain links hanging from the shower stall ceiling or anything. (Though that'd be pretty fricken cool!!)

These are pretty comfortable and haven't left marks, though I don't buckle them super tight. I'm not the type to make my sub miserable, or to leave nasty wrist marks to explain at work the next day. These have served there purpose in that area. These are also not easy release, as they are buckles. You may want to make sure whatever you tie them to IS easy release, you know, in case you have to run naked out of the house during a fire or something. It's easier to explain to the cops that you have kink, rather than your sex buddy died because you couldn't get them untied from the bed.

Performance

These were fabulous for me! I love the leather because it's durable and easy to clean. You can use a little leather polish on them if they start to fade also. These can be pulled against pretty hard and uphold well to it. I can't say about suspension because I don't really do it, but anything not specified for suspension, I wouldn't necessarily use for.

Now, I personally look for something strong against pulling, that you can't easily get out of (except for the whole fire safety thing, which I tie easy remove knots on my end), and that is easy to clean and store. These are perfect for just that. I don't have to keep them in a separate bag or anything, though you can if you choose to. It has nice metal hoops that are easy to tie or clip chain or rope to. These can double as wrist cuffs if you choose, I've used them as such, but they're sized bigger so they may not work if you have small wrists. There is however, a matching set of wrist cuffs up on EdenFantasys as I mentioned earlier.

The loops on this are fairly okay sized, I can run my rope through it twice, and mine's a semi thick rope. I could run it through a third time but it was a little tight and I always like my quick release to work with my knots, so I avoided it.

Care and Maintenance

As this is leather, it is easy to care for, just wipe it off if you get anything on it. I store it in my bag with all my other BDSM toys, it doesn't really need to be separate. You can use the packaging if you want, but honestly it would just take up more room. The leather over time will wear and look a little battered, but such is the way of leather. You can polish it with some leather polish if it starts to look particularly dull.

Packaging

The packaging is basically clear plastic that's sort of in a mold that fits the cuffs. It is obvious these are cuffs, but that's because it's hard to hide a cuff as anything else. The packaging was probably made so it could hang up somewhere, but I just threw it away. There is no booklet or information, but really, one doesn't need one for cuffs. Simply buckle them after fitting them, yes? Yes.

Personal comments

Just a note, I do believe that the inside of the cuff is suede, but I can't find any notes in the packaging to prove me correct. If this is so, suede can get stiff and hard after getting wet, so I would say that if you cared to keep the suede as it comes when it's new, not to get it wet. Personally I plan on using these in the shower but just haven't had time to give it a whirl yet. So obviously I'll make a note later on whether it did end up getting stiff.
Follow-up commentary
I still like these. They've held up well and have only shown a little wear, which is pretty usual for leather. I feel like these are going to last me quite a while and I would recommend them to people, and have recommended them to friends that are into a little kink. I want the matching wrist cuffs but just haven't gotten around to it yet. I really like that these wipe off so easily too, I do suggest leather polish because it keeps them looking nice.

I have not yet tried cuffs, so excuse what may seem like a silly question. If the length of these is 10.5", does that mean that the largest-sized ankle this would fit would be about 9" or 9.5" (to be able to fasten in one of the holes)?

The actual cuff link itself is 10.5", the entire band, undone, is about 14.5" it will expand to about 11-12",however that part isn't reinforced by the actual cuff itself, what I mean by that is you'll be using the connector at that point and the cuff will not completely surround the ankle, there will be an open area where the cuff ends don't meet. So technically it can fit up to 11" ankles, but I would suggest only up to 10.5 because it won't have the cuff to reinforce it..it also looks kinda weird when the cuff ends don't meet. I should've clarified that a bit.
