Vegan silicone ball gag - mouth gag by ASLAN Leather - review by Miss Voluptuous

The mouth is our most public orifice. We eat with it. We talk with it. The mouth is one of our most prominent facial features in public life. All the more reason, I say, to symbolically bind it during more private affairs. Stripping someone of their ability to talk asserts power and puts the submissive into a more vulnerable and animalistic state. Perfect.

This ball gag is quite adjustable. The smallest setting gives it a circumference of 18" while the largest makes it almost 2' in circumference. The gag fastens in the back just like a regular belt does. There are 8 sizing holes to choose from and room on either end to punch at least one additional hole if needed. Just like a belt buckle there is a square metal loop to thread the extra length through to keep it tidy. The hardware on this toy is sturdy and the two snaps have the name SELEX stamped on the back.

The strap of this ball gag is made of three pieces of faux leather. The ball gets threaded onto the center strap. Each end of that gets threaded through a D-ring, folded back 1-1/4" and snapped shut. These snaps can also serve as an emergency release to quickly take the ball gag off. With both snaps closed this center piece measures about 6-1/2" long. The other two straps curl back behind the head and have the belt buckle fastening at the back. They are riveted onto the D-ring and buckle. There is an Aslan garment tag next to the belt buckle.

The silicone ball is 1-5/8" in diameter with a 1/2" diameter hole running through the center. There is a faint seam line running around the ball that cannot be felt during use. The ball is an average size that many users will find filling but not overwhelming. I'm a little concerned about how this ball would withstand being bitten by someone with sharp teeth. I myself do not have sharp teeth (vegetarian), and I'm curious as to how the ball with hold up over time. Fortunately Aslan products come with a life time warranty and can be mailed back to the manufacturer for repairs.

The faux leather does not smell like leather and it is just slightly stretchy. The ball itself has no taste or odor. This ball gag came packaged in a simple zip log bag with an Aslan product tag attached to the gag.

The faux leather can be cleaned with a damp cloth and leather soap, but be sure to dry it completely before storing. To clean the ball, open one of the snaps and remove it from the strap. On it's own the silicone ball can be washed with soap and water or sterilized with a 10% bleach solution, boiling for a few minutes in water, or running through the top rack of the dishwasher. It's great that the ball can be sterilized for use between partners. Getting the ball back on the strap is a bit tricky. I'd recommend using some needle nose pliers to grab the end of the strap from inside the ball.
