Great! Let me first start off by saying these are perfect for beginning cuffs. If you’re unsure if restraints and the bedroom should belong in the same sentence, look at these. I've been unsure about hand cuffs (or any type of restraints) for quite some time. My husband and I both have a... different sense of humor and I wouldn't put it past either of use to magically lose the keys. So, needless to say, I was apprehensive.

When you first look at these you'll notice they're not your standard cuffs. They are made out of a material that is said to be neoprene. For those of us who aren't chemistry majors, it's this foamy type material that almost reminds me of a wrestling mat. This material serves as your padding. There is a second material bonded to the neoprene on the back. This material is what will actually come in contact with your skin and feels to be cotton/ polyester blend. The cuffs can easily be cleaned by wiping down with water and seem to be a no fuss kind of thing.

The actual closing mechanism is simply Velcro. They can even be undone by the one who is bound. That being said, they are not the prettiest cuffs I've ever seen. They do tend to remind me of a workout room/ gym. With the Velcro, they are fully adjustable. They will comfortably fit a wrist from the size of my pinky to a wrist with a 10.5 inch circumference. We have found the size to be more than enough to use for ankles as well. The actual piece of Velcro is 5 in long and can be trimmed if desired. Personally, I find the Velcro best not trimmed allowing me to use the full 5 in as an extra connection.

The cuffs can also boast about having a great feature that you would not find with your standard metal cuffs. They can be worn as a set or separately, allowing you to tie the wrists off in different locations. They feature a metal ring that is attached by fabric to each individual cuff. The ring is designed much like a key ring in as it can be removed from the fabric, if so desired. We simply left the rings on and rigged up a pulley system with standard rope. There is also a clasp attached to one of the metal rings. Its function is to be used as the connecting link between the two metal rings when it is desired to have the wrists together. This clasp is much like what you would find on a small dog leash.

Overall, I have no complaints. The design of the product has durability in mind and comfort. This isn't going to be a sexy item... sorry, but it's just never going to be. If you want cuffs and want to know they're there, don't look at these. There is no rubbing or chafing from these; I didn't even receive a red mark from using them. These are like that big tee shirt when crawling into bed, completely comfortable and relaxing. There is no black lace, sexy bra, leather corset stuff going on here. I would highly recommend these for people looking for your first set of cuffs. I found this to be a great buy.
