Fetish Fantasy Series Japanese silk rope - suspension kit by Pipedream - review by ////

This Japanese Silk Rope by Fetish Fantasy Series is the perfect introduction to light bondage and/or Shibari. It holds knots well, doesn't burn as easily as some ropes, and it is super strong. While I think beginners would enjoy this rope the most, I can still see more advanced users buying this due to the length, price, and how soft it is.

This rope is 35" (10.5 meters) long and ¼" thick. I think this is the perfect length for simple Shibari or for anyone who wants to just tie their partner up or to something. It feels, looks, and acts like cotton. I'm not so sure this is true silk or not, I'm having my doubts.

I've read some other reviews that say this is poorly made rope, however, mine is very nicely finished with no frayed bits to be found. The only problem I have with this is how they've capped the ends with silver tape. One end of my rope is taped securely while my other end is wonky and it makes me nervous. I have a feeling I will soon have to replace the tape with some electrical tape or maybe find some metal tips.



If taken care of, I can see this rope lasting me a good while.

It worked just like rope should. It is very plushy and comfortable, even if tied too tightly. You can even wear it under your clothes and it won't chafe or itch. Some ropes I have used can stretch if you struggle after being tied up, making the knot tighter and harder to untie, but not with this rope. No matter how hard I tie the knot, it stays put and is just as easy to untie as any loose knot would be.

I'm not sure I would recommend suspension with this rope. Not because I don't think it is sturdy enough, but because it might not be able to hold heavier users, and it seems like it's either hit or miss when it comes to the quality.

Aside from the cat hair and my own hair, this rope doesn't seem to get dirty. But if it does, hand washing it with soap and warm water should be fine.

I store this in the box it came in with no problem. I don't mind the bulkiness since I store all of my toys and accessories in my Eden tote.

The box is just your generic porn faced girl wrapped in the rope. It is not discreet by any means. Included is a free mask that comes with pretty much every Fetish Fantasy Series toy.

This rope is so long, I was able to do a simple harness, and still had a good 4" of rope left.
