I've had this cock ring for over a year now (I'd like to think of it as "thorough testing" instead of "procrastination"). It still hasn't failed me, and I've put the poor little guy through a lot.

The 5 speed cock strap is made from black leather with red stitching and fastens via snap. It has five snaps on each end. The leather isn't super-awesome-ohmywordthisisthebestfeelingonmycockever-quality, but it's not cheap scratchy crap either. To clean, wipe it down with soap and water; don't submerge. If it gets a weird texture or starts to crackle, put some leather conditioner or oil on it (note: don't use it immediately afterward).

Since it can be snapped, this ring gives you a lot more flexibility than a pre-sized ring. Cock rings are normally put on before full erection, but since this one snaps it can be put on at any stage. It can also be worn just around the shaft, around the balls and shaft, or I suppose just around the balls if you wanted. Also, it's a good beginner cock ring because if you get uncomfortable or just aren't really into it, you can take it off immediately.

Which brings me to the 'safety' part of my review. You probably want to skip over this, but don't: It could cost you YOUR PENIS.

Don't wear the cock ring for an extended session. 15-20 minutes is okay, but if you feel cold, a loss of sensation, or a tingly sensation - any of the things you feel when your leg is falling asleep - take it off. Cock rings work by restricting the blood flow to keep it in the penis. If fresh blood isn't getting in there.. well, I'll just tell you it's the same principle as a tourniquet. Secondly, be wary of where you're snapping those snaps. It's easy to pinch the skin (especially if you're putting in on someone else) or get a hair caught. Finally, make sure you don't have it on too tight. It should restrict a little, but if it's uncomfortable you need to loosen it up a notch. If your cock is flushed pink, good. If your cock is purple/blue, you're doing it wrong.

Now that you're terrified: using cock rings is safe. Just don't leave it on for an hour. You know your own penis (or your partner's), and if it looks or feels funny you should loosen it or take it off to avoid damage. We've used this for a year now and have had no bruising, physical or emotional scars, or penis scares.

I tried this both around just my boyfriend's shaft and around his shaft and balls. I found that I liked it a little better around the whole package, but that I liked shaft-only as well. I didn't have a problem with the edge of the ring stabbing me. Nor did our ring come unsnapped, pinch us to death, break, or get lodged inside of me.

I like the looks of this ring on my boyfriend. It makes him a little harder; it's by no means a super-dick-creator, but it emphasizes what's already there. He said it made him slightly more sensitive and made orgasm more intense, kind of, sort of. Typical guy. I say it raised his vocal volume during orgasm at least 2 notches.

Even if it's just your hand or favorite masturbation sleeve on the other end, it'll still have the same effect: more sensitivity, more stimulation, more intense orgasm. If you hate it, you could always use it as a 'grip' around the outside of your masturbation sleeve, if it fits.

I recommend loosening this toy up some before putting it near the family jewels. I found that the snaps were a little hard to snap at first (which is true of most snaps), but after I played with them a little they were easier. Now it's no problem to snap. I also recommend putting your thumb underneath the bottom snap for leverage when you push down - otherwise it pushes into your (or partner's) shaft or sac and is, I gather from the boyfriend's high pitched "OWWATCHWHATYERDOINDOWNTHERE!" pretty unpleasant.

It's a good ring. It could be more awesome, but not for $10, which is why I gave it 5 stars. 1 bee for the snappy sound!
