I find bondage play a lot of fun, and it’s something my husband and I have gotten a lot more into. We’ve got plenty of cuffs, and even a hog tie set or two. Being bound in that manner is something which I like quite a bit (and my husband does too), and this set looked quite different and fun.

This hog tie set comes in a large, easy-to-open plastic bubble case. The product is displayed on the front and beneath the set, as well as on the back, is an illustration of an anime girl bound with it. The back has some product information, as well as some humorous lines that I love on products like this: “Her sexy bits are bound wide open for your tender touch”, and “Your gorgeous geisha is vulnerable to erotic massage, tickling, or sexual stimulation” are two of my favorites.

This set is made of silk rope, in a beautiful, vibrant shimmery purple color. The rope is braided, and about 1/2" thick. Two of the ropes are 13” long and are for restraining your wrists, while the other 2 ropes are 19” long and meant to go around your ankles.

The 4 ropes loop around the center O-ring and are held closely around it by lavender plastic tubing. The two end pieces of the rope are under this tubing, making the rest of the rope one continual loop. The other ends have a clasp through which the rope is threaded. The clasps are made of plastic and are friction-free so the rope doesn’t snag. They can be opened, but there’s really no need to do so.

The rope is threaded through in a cross pattern. This allows the rope to be pulled through to form a cuff consisting of doubly wrapped rope. Once your wrist or ankle is in the loop, your partner can gently pull the rope through the clasp to tighten the cuff loops. The clasp doesn’t have a tendency to loosen on its own, and the silk rope is comfortable against the skin and won’t cause any chafing.

Removing these restraints is just as easy – simply have your partner grasp the clasp gently and pull away from your wrist or ankle and the loops will loosen and give you your freedom.

This set is easy to care for. If necessary it can be wiped with a damp cloth and blotted dry. You can also hand wash it in warm water with gentle detergent and air dry. Since the rope won’t crease you can store these in a drawer, or you can hang it by the O-ring on a hanger or hook. The rope seems snag-resistant, but you should be careful with it so it retains its beautiful look.

I had intended to surprise my husband with this, so I’d removed it from the packaging before we were ready to play. I had it lying on the table, and when he saw it there, he said, “What’s with the new plant hanger? And why is it purple?”

I had to laugh – it does somewhat resemble a macramé hanger, and I even have one in a similar color that I made ages ago. Once I told him what it was however, he didn’t waste any time putting it to use.

He had no trouble with making the cuffs with the rope. I found the lengths of the ropes to work well in the hog tie position, and this worked with me either on my knees or on my stomach. Even struggling against the rope, I didn’t notice any chafing, red marks, or pain on my wrists or ankles. It did make me quite vulnerable, although I’m not sure I pulled of the “gorgeous geisha” part.

Overall, this is a well made set, which I’m sure with proper care will last a long time. It’s fun and easy to use, and it will add some variety to our bondage scenarios.
