Isn't it obvious? I mean, it's a paddle shaped like a boot! What other use could it have besides sadomasochistic play resulting in a person looking like they got the crap kicked out of them without having to actually get the crap kicked out of them?

We found a few uses I never would have thought of on my own. Okay, maybe I would have, but it would have taken me a lot longer. I definitely have to bow to M's (my partner) superior ability in the bedroom creativity department. That man is twisted. So...uses!

1. Over the knee spankings - I mean, duh. It says so right on the tag.
2. Boot marks - Not everyone wants to actually be kicked, but you might like to look like you were!
3. Texture play - Rubber dragged across nipples. That is all.
4. Pussy whipping - Oh, yes.
5. Out and about - The craftsmanship makes this an excellent toy to show off at play parties and events.
6. Light, medium or heavy play - I'll always stand by the belief that any toy can be used for any level of play in the right hands.
7. 2-in-1 - Because the two surfaces of the head of the paddle are different, this allows for two different experiences with one tool.

As you can see from the image above, it's a wooden paddle with a rubber boot sole attached. The sole belongs to the bottom of a right-footed boot, and appears to be around a US woman's 6 wide. It's got fake stitching along the sides, as if the rubber is stitched to the paddle handle, but the stitching stops before the heel. And in the arch is the Raging Stallion logo, which is handsome enough that most folks wouldn't mind having it stamped on their skin for a while. However, I'm not sure that's a concern, as the boot tread feels just slightly deeper than the stallion.

There's a braided wrist strap through the end of the handle, and a bit of garment leather screwed to the wood. I assume this is more for appearances than anything. However, it seems to absorb a bit of the impact, which is nice.

Because of the materials, the paddle's a little on the heavy side. It has little give, and can pack one heck of a wallop if that's what its user intends. However, how intense its impact for the spankee depends entirely on the hand of the spanker.

So...you look at a paddle like this, and you fill up with all sorts of expectations. In the picture, it's intimidating, all black and solid, like all the cruelest kink toys are. And if you're like me, that intimidation only draws you in further. Like being in high school, again, finding out the head cheerleader and quarterback have broken up, and deciding you're going to ignore the fact that you're a card-carrying member of the misfits and ask them both out. Or maybe that was just me.

When you see a product that makes you feel that way, and that feeling is exactly what you're looking for, getting it home and finding out it only looks that way is such a let down.

This paddle is not a let down. It looks just as sturdy and well-made in person as it does in the image. It feels mean in your hand and on your ass. It smells a bit like a tire if you put your nose right up against it, and I have to admit, that's part of the turn on for me. There's no doubt it's a rubber sole marking your skin.

In short, the performance without a doubt lives up to its appearance. I expect this paddle to last us a good long time.

1. Use frequently! - Okay, so nothing actually says that, but I find that most impact toys last the longest if they're used regularly. Some say it's true for just about everything in life. Use it lovingly, and care for it well, and it will last forever. Stop either and it will begin to decay.

2. Wipe down - The best way to clean the rubber and the wood is to wipe it down with warm water.

3. Antibacterial soap - If the toy comes into contact with body fluids, you should wash it with antibacterial soap and water, and rinse thoroughly.

4. Allow to dry completely - Rubber is porous and can trap bacteria and other undesirables if not properly maintained. Never, ever store it wet. Hang it up somewhere by that handy-dandy wrist strap and allow to dry completely, then slide it in a drawer or under your mattress.

The handle is a little wide for my hand, but in our case, this isn't an issue. M's the one who does the spanking in this house, and his hands are much bigger than mine. For that matter, I'm not sure the user would be well-served by a thinner handle. The combination of the wood and rubber makes the head of the paddle pretty heavy. The thinner the handle, the more chance of the head snapping off with use, I imagine.

I know the size is a disappointment for those of you hoping to mimic a man's boot print, but I'm not sure what can be done about that. Any extra material used will add weight, and this paddle's already pretty heavy. A longer head would call for a thicker handle, and the handle's already pretty wide. Change the subject when your friends try to compare their feet to the marks. If that doesn't work, run like your life depends on it!

Or something...

It's been said that this toy isn't at all for beginners, but I disagree. Generally speaking, paddles are about as easy as they come. They pull no punches. You get back exactly what you put in. And anyone can tell by how this toy is made that it should be used with caution. However, as I do with every impact toy, I will ask that if you are a beginner, you test it on the arm of your couch, and maybe your own thigh before using it on your partner. This way, you'll get an idea of just how much force is needed for your desired impact.

This paddle is a great attitude adjuster, and an even better mood enhancer. M has used it lightly and harshly and no matter how he uses it, I just love it more.

I adore the design. When I saw it come in, I was in love, and seeing it in person only made it better.

In my years of religious reviewing, I managed to accrue quite a few adult toys of various uses from various manufacturers. While I'm fairly easy to please, and I've enjoyed almost all of them, none has ever inspired a review mid-use the way the Jackboot did.

No, silly. I didn't make The Man stop hitting me so I could write this review. I was about to cum! What kinda nut job does that?

But I did start writing it in my head. Mid-orgasm. Nuff said?

It's firm and cruel in that way I love so much. The texture adds something to the experience. And there's definitely something to be said for looking down at your thigh and noticing a distinct boot print.

My only suggestion? Come out with a left boot. Not everyone's right-handed! Or footed, as the case may be. Plus? Matching set.
