Pleasure masks - blindfold by Cal Exotics - review by Red Riding Hood

These are very simple blindfolds/masks intended for light bdsm play. They are affordable, fairly easy to clean and beginner friendly.

If you want something high quality with some plush to it, this product isn't the way to go. However, if you want something simple, easy to clean and affordable, this product is great. You get two blindfolds in the package that will be fairly sturdy with decent care and easy to clean. Mine have been through hell and still survived. I would suggest it for someone on a budget because there ARE better products out there and there is certainly room for some improvement with this one. Just don't have high expectations. You really are just getting a couple of blindfolds.

The design is "just okay" in my opinion. I am a smaller girl with a small face/head and the mask didn't fit as well as it could have. There were some light leaks and if I move my face around, the mask seemed to ride up. Somehow, I think the cut could have been better so that the mask would fit a variety of faces a bit better. That said, it seems sturdy and is easy to clean. For the price, you can't expect too much. There's nothing really special about it, but it meets the need for a blindfold for sure.

The operation is fine. You just slide it on like you would any other mask. The straps stay in place quite well, but the eye mask likes to slide around on my face a lot. I feel that it's the cut that makes it do this. So far the elastic hasn't stretched out, but I don't really need to stretch it too much anyway. The product seems durable and you'll definitely get your money's worth. I would say it's great for what I expected. And you get TWO for that price!

Since I had two, I decided to use one as a sleep mask. No, it's not as smooth as the ones you can get for that purpose, but it filters light quite well and definitely helps. I just figured "why not?" and it's worked out pretty well so far. I would say I'm satisfied with it, although there is room for improvement. This would include the material being softer and the cut being a bit more tailored.

These are made of simple cloth so it's easy to just hand-wash them or toss them in the washer. I've tried both methods and the product turned out well enough. It WILL wear over time and may not look it's best after a few washings and in that case you may want to be gentle with them or just wash them by hand. Most things wash right off of the material, though. I've been able to get off water-based lube, conditioner, lotion and all sorts of oily products. As far as storage, well... It's cloth. You can store it pretty much anyway you want. Mine hands out around where I sleep since I use one as a sleep mask as well.

These come in a big plastic clamshell-style case with a paper insert. There isn't much information on the insert and the entire package is really simple. It's not pretty by any means and isn't really suitable as a giftbox itself. You might want to bring along the wrapping paper for this one.
