Viper tongue whip review

When I retrieved the Viper Tongue out of the shipping box and held it in my hand for the first time, my immediate reaction was "Oh this little thing, it won't hurt it all." Oh boy was I wrong! I might have as well been charming a cobra out of a basket. Left alone, it is harmless, but once it gets moving, it is has a lot of potential for harm.

Lightweight, leather, and about sixteen inches long, it seemed quite benign. But like any flogger, a lot of the power is contingent on the person who is wielding it. I was not restrained the first time my Dom used the Viper Tongue on me, and in retrospect, I wish I was. His initial smacks to my bottom with the viper were tolerable, but once he worked up to a moderate tempo, I was writhing in pain. By the time he got into it whole hog, I was gnawing on my own arm in attempts to not scream. After a session with the Viper Tongue, I was on the edge where pain meets pleasure. My ass was speckled with dotty welts, which as a sub, I wore proudly.

The two tongues of leather that compose the Viper Tongue do double duty in administering pain. This is a stingy flogger; they don't compare it to a snake's tongue for no reason. My Dom felt that the handle could be a bit longer as he felt like he had to make a concerted effort to get a precise smack.

Also, he felt that due to the balance of the Viper Tongue, this is not a toy for a novice, uneducated BDSM player. The leather tongues can be unpredictable as far as where they land. While applying a good wallop on a sub, one must be very cautious as the strands have a tendency to curl under the area being hit, therefore making it more likely to strike an unsafe area. He did say once he got into a good rhythm, he was able to control the Viper Tongue very easily. He felt the welts it left on my bottom were very aesthetically pleasing.

The Viper Tongue was taken out of my closet, where it commingled very well with my belts, for a second try. This time I was restrained and gagged. My Dom gave the Viper Tongue a whirl not only on my bottom but on my breasts and back. As before, I found the Viper Tongue to provide immense pain, like I was being stung by a bee none stop. Being a sub, though, that is exactly what I wanted.

This flogger is a great flogger at a great price and definitely a good addition to any Dom's arsenal. Beware though, because this snake most definitely bites!
