I have always been a fan of rope. When I first started experimenting with rope and other bondage devices I didn't go to the local toy store and rack up. I went to Home Depot and bought what felt good to me. I will never forget visiting the rope and chain sections, wrapping the various types around my wrist, and envisioning being bound with them. Eventually I evolved from free paint stirrers, dog chains, clothespins, and rough rope and started to build my collection. But I must admit that my body still craves using everyday household and workshop items to get-off with.

And then this set caught my eye. Originally I wanted it because of the vibrant pink color and the sex kitten spread eagle on the front of the box. Then I got my set...It took two seconds for me to be drawn in by the simple yet strong design. When I receive my new toys I don't rush and jump in the bed to fuck with them or be fucked by them. I prefer to take my time and get to know my new friend (no, I don't take them out to dinner or ask for their zodiac sign). Because I like to play with my toys before I use them, my first course of action was to slip my wrist and ankle into one side of each restraint and pull on them until I couldn't get them any tighter. Restriction does something to me and sends me to a higher level of ecstasy. What drew me in with these restraints is that it reminded me of an average jump rope. I like simplicity. It felt strong and durable. The only thing I worry about is that over time I can see it roughing up like the bottom of a bathing suit when you slide your ass against the pool surface.

The set is very versatile and gives you the option of using them separately or intertwined, and the length allows you to try different positions while cuffed.

What I love about sets is that you get many toys in one, and this particular set comes with a mask and ball-gag in addition to the restraints. Unfortunately, often when you get sets quality isn't spread evenly and something is gonna lack. The mask is terribly flimsy; however, it does cover the eyes pretty tight, but over time I'm sure it will fall a part. The ball gag is a nice size and adjustable but has some faults I'll discuss further down.

All in all this is a great set for a beginner. The restraints, themselves, will serve a pro just fine, but coupling it with the ball gag and mask make it more of a starter set and possibly useful for training and teaching.

Let's start with the ball gag because the taste is fresh in my mouth and makes me wanna drink alcohol. Rubber tends to leave a crappy taste in your mouth, and this is ever so apparent with this ball gag. Of course, the smell out of the bag would alert you to this. I do love the beautiful pink ball and looked forward to trying it out, but besides the terrible taste it also pinched the sides of my mouth -- not good. The ball is more like a bouncy ball with a cord similar to a lanyard that runs through it. The cord is definitely different from the restraint rope. The problem with this gag is that the hole the cord goes through is wider than it should be, and so it tends to move back and forth even when you have it taunt, so it catches the corners of your mouth. Also, depending on your hairstyle, the cord can slip. I do like the slide used to make it longer or shorter and the white rubber that covers the ends. However, there is a hard bulge in the bundle that may cause some discomfort for some users, but it didn't bother me.

As for the blindfold, just prepare your mind to replace it. It's thin and cheap feeling, and if you tug too hard you can see the strap pulling apart from it. However, in the beginning it will do its job.

Okay, now on to my favorite part of the set that saves its ass from the garbage: those sexy freaking tight fitting hot pink restraints. The rope isn't hard or rough and looks rather wide; however, when you pull it, it stretches out thin, making it feel tight along your wrist and ankles. There is a four holed white cinch that you move to put your wrist or ankle through and slide back to tighten. The cinch slide doubles both the wrist and ankle rope, so although it's tight around your wrist and ankles it doesn't cut off circulation, which you would find if it was a single rope or thinner. There is no locking mechanism, so if your captured managed to get their hand free they could easily pull the slide to get loose. But if you keep the hands away, they can't simply wiggle out of it. The box says that the rope is soft and silky...well, actually it's really not. The rope may be soft to the touch, but once tightened that's out the window, and when I think of silky I think of fine silk, not jump rope.

My ankles are about 8.5 in. around, and when I put them in the loops the length of the rope is a little more than 33 in. in length. With the cinches pulled all the way to the ends, the rope is close to 47 in. The wrist restraints are 22 in. long, and with my barely 6 in. wrist in them it measures 13 in. in length (mind you, I pulled the ropes as tight as they could go).

This set is great for a beginner, as I said before, but because of how tight you can pull these I would really like to see them in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing.

Overall I enjoyed the set, but mainly because of the restraints. If you pay your money for a set you should expect quality through-out all items.

After you are in the restraints for a while and take them off you can still feel that they were there. I didn't have any bruising, but honestly I don't mind a little bruising here and there; that's what long sleeves and scarves are made for. Luckily for those who don't share my sentiments, the rope is soft enough not to cause damage. They just leave a little reminder of their presence. Over a long period of time they will feel tight, but after all, isn't that what we want in a restraint. If you ask me, save the cutesy and cuddly for the pillow princesses.

The length in the legs allows you to twist your captured in a plethora of positions, so let your mind run free and experiment. Try them intertwined with the wrist restraint and separately. Have fun and see how long it takes your partner to beg for release.
The white rubber covers do slide back and forth, allowing you to get them directly in the middle that the box shows. My only thing with them is the hard bulge, which I believe to be the ends of the rope. It's not so bad in the restraints because the rope is soft, but it is definitely noticeable in the gag.

The gag tastes and smells bad. It was a good attempt that horribly went wrong. The blind-fold is in the same boat. It does what it is supposed to and fits tight, but over long periods of re-use it will eventually break.

For the ball gag, honestly because it is made of rubber, it's porous and doesn't clean well. With this one I cleaned it with one of my universal cleaners, but that rubbery taste was still left behind. Well, at least it will last for a long time.

The ropes are made of cotton, and I am contemplating washing the restraints in a washer and hanging it out to dry. I really don't feel it will cause issues but if in doubt hand wash and hang up to dry.

I do suggest not rubbing the ropes against jagged hard surfaces or you will get a fraying effect like the bathing suite scenario I mentioned before.

The set comes in a sturdy box. but it is very bulky and not easy to hide. The contents don't take up much space. and you could easily keep them in the plastic bags they come in and put them in your drawer or other storage area.

The box makes you want this set--as it should. However, some of the wording is misleading, such as the silky comment mentioned above. It does let you know that you can have fun with the set and experiment. It also references as being a great beginner kit, which is very true.
