Lock me up (but only with small wrists)

If you're looking for a pair of metal handcuffs to fit a variety of wrist sizes... well, keep looking! While very cute (pink is definitely a fun color) and very soft, overall they fall short of what I'd expect for any kind of BDSM (light, fun stuff or any degree more serious).

Use

While this will not pass for police issue, it's great for something slightly more playful than light restraints (like silk material). These cuffs are furry, fun and very cute, but be careful if you're anything but a toothpick, as they aren't made for very large wrists.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

The cuffs will stay locked, and while the fabric is plush, there's far too little of it to cover your skin. So if you're after a little fuzz and a half metal directly against your skin, you might want to avoid these.

- Pink fur is very soft and fuzzy, and has a clean smell to it
- Cuffs fit tight on anything but extremely small wrists (Anything larger than 8" in circumference will be tight)
- Even the smallest of wrists, the cuffs will not spin around the wrist
- Can be adjusted smaller, but they're really sized for a child

!! Definitely not suited for "average" wrists !!

Performance

We had fun taking some photos with these. I can't see using them for any serious BDSM, as they're just too funny with the furry pink cover that only covers 80% of the cuffs. The metal and mechanism inside are sturdy enough to keep your partner cuffed, but the chain would likely break with any real force.

I would definitely NOT use these for any kind of hanging or serious restraint, as the lack of material would do some serious damage to the skin. Add in the fact that the cuffs fit so tightly in an oval shape, that they will not rotate about the wrist, which would cause the wrist/forearm to twist with the cuff.

Care and Maintenance

Once upside to these cuffs is that the pink furry material does slide right off when the cuff is in an open position. This would allow them to be washed if/when they become dirty. Because of the type of material, I would highly advise against a machine wash and limit to hand washing.

The metal cuffs by themselves are easy to clean. Any multipurpose cleaner would seem to work fine. We used a Costco branded anti-bacterial cleaning wipe, and it did not affect the finish at all. With all the nooks and crannies (come on, they're handcuffs), it would be harder to get inside a lot of spots to clean. But, for the price, I wouldn't expect them to last forever.

Packaging

For some reason, most novelty products in this price category (budget?) come in very plain, less than creative packaging. But hey, did you really buy it for the packaging? So once the cheep Chinese cardboard and inner plastic bag are tossed in to the recycling... well, there's really nothing more to say. They clearly identify what's inside, but are definitely not large enough to ship on their own, so expect them to arrive within your "nondescript" Eden package.

Personal comments

They're fun to have around. We don't plan to use them a lot, but can add a little fun, mostly when taking photos. Generally, we stick to our padded wrist restraints or leather cuffs. But it does add a little variety... and they're pink furry cuffs, so how can that be a bad thing?
Follow-up commentary
After a few more weeks of use (and I honestly can't say we "wanted" to use them, but it seemed obligatory since we had them nearby) I think these will be relegated to the box of toys we'll never use again. I tried washing the fuzz... BIG mistake! A bunch of fuzz came out, they're nowhere near as soft (which wasn't saying much to begin with when the cuffs were already too tight), and within a couple days the little bit of water that couldn't be towel dried (in the little cracks) appears to have already left a bit of rust.

Overall, these things are a waste. Sure, they came free... but I guess you get what you pay for in this situation. If you want cuffs... spend a few bucks and get a decent set.

Good review, I had two pair as a free gift but gave them to friends. I prefer the leopard cuffs we have that are more comfortable.
