Metal wrist and ankle cuffs by Cal Exotics

First appearances are not always accurate! I was in awe of the sheer weight of the metal cuffs. Sure I knew it was metal but the total weight was surprising.

The full cuff set is exactly that. Heavy, oppressive and very real. The length from wrist to wrist is a meager 4 inches. When my wrists were in these, I was literally unable to do much but keep my hands together and behave. The moment I was locked in, I felt the metal bite my wrists. It was a first for me.

The distance from wrist to where the divided chain to each ankle is only 16 inches. This is a slight problem if you happen to be more then say 5'9" or have a long set of legs. Both of these fit me. While walking I found that I had to hunch slightly or else the ankle cuffs would ride up and dig into my lower legs. There is about 8 inches of play for each ankle from where the main chain stop and splits to each side. No matter what I tried while walking I was more than a little uncomfortable.

Make no mistake, these cuffs are very real and very heavy. They are noisy and loud. You can easily hear these throughout the house clanking as you walk.

The first play involved just getting locked on and experimenting. There are 2 sets of keys. One set for the wrists and another set for the ankles. These keys are not interchangeable and you get 2 of each key. Each key was tested and used first before any play started. (This is a safety measure so please do that with your own set to ensure you are not accidentally locked in without keys to free you). Now on the wrist cuffs, there is the lovely trigger release. You can quickly escape the wrist cuffs in a matter of seconds and with a quick flick of the tab to the outside of each cuff. There is NOT a lock release for the ankles!

Each cuff has a variety of locking notches, so you can easily find a size that works for you or your partner. So, big or small, there is an ample amount of room to find a notch that you can work with and feel secure in.

If you or your partner is flexible enough, these cuffs are fabulous for a modified hog bind. I was bent back and locked in quickly and instantly secure. I wasn't able to move about much and felt the very distinct sense of being captive. I was able to move my legs enough to allow my partner to access me but not so much that I could prevent much either.

Using the cuffs is new for me. We found a variety of uses for them. I was locked to my office chair while posting (as I am now) and there was even some locking to the bed. The garage is the next adventure and looking for interesting places to be locked to and used once the weather breaks.

Durability is key. I tugged, pulled, and yanked on these chains as hard as I could. I was not able to bend or break or even remotely misshape a single connection ring anywhere along the lengths of chain.

The awesome heavy weight of the cuffs is a sheer delight. I love how encased and kept I felt in them during each session of play. Knowing that I could and did easily release myself was a security I couldn't have lived without.

Given the use, a simple warm wet cloth is more then adequate to wash off the chains or cuffs. Just be sure to keep the keys with them so you don't lose them.

This being my first experience with metal restraints I enjoyed them fully. I like sensation of the metal on my skin. I would gladly recommend these to anyone that asked. I wouldn't say that anyone without any bondage experience should start at this level. These are for the slightly more refined and seasoned bondage lover.

I have modified the original item so that I can use them more effectively.

I still like the cuffs but we added chain to them to make them longer, so that I could actually stand up right and not feel the ankle cuffs dig into my legs.

The safety locks have withstood numerous uses, and I've been able to quickly release myself from them in cases of being interrupted.
