Locking collar with mini bondage rings review by Spartacus

When I got the email stating I’d be getting a “collar of sorts” to review, I was curious, elated, and all at once unsure. I have been looking for a play or scene collar, something different from public wear, but I wasn’t sure what I was getting, so I was worried. It arrived during the holidays and when my Master opened it, all I heard was, “I think this is exactly what we were looking for.” All grins, I turned to see the Locking collar with mini bondage rings, and fell in love before it was ever placed on my neck. It is made of smooth, finished, supple black leather, with sturdy rings, and an easy to use locking system (with your own lock). It is a comfortable width for my neck size and works as a sort of posture collar as well, without being too refining or choking.

The best part is the multiple adjustment ‘holes’ in the band, making this as comfortable or confining as Master sees fit. I have slept in the collar as well as worn it in scenes. The only problem with sleeping is posture. If you sleep on your back or side with a nice thick pillow, as I do, it’s comfortable. If you don’t, it may grab at you a bit, but it was not enough to make me uncomfortable in any way. It is a great nightly wear collar, and the thick leather is comfortable and reassuring around one’s neck when taken in the context of a scene. It is not a tiny, seemingly breakable flimsy collar and it does not have the waxy texture that sticks to you and makes you sweat. All around, I cannot think of anything that would make this a better collar. It is not a “real world collar”; if you wish to hide the fact that you’ve been collared. It is plainly a collar, no doubt as to the use.

Master has guided me by the rings without any worry of damage to myself or the collar. The only ring I don’t suggest for leading is the locking ring, as it skews the collar and makes it slightly uncomfortable. The other three rings are connected by D-rings to the collar in an additional leather strap, giving them some freedom of movement around the collar to meet with various locks, bars, leads, or leashes. The rings are sturdy, made of a thick stainless steel. They do ‘clink’ together a bit, but not so much as to be annoying, unless you’re playing with them as I am want to do… warranting myself a fair slap or three upon the rump… I can’t say it’s a dislikable outcome.

We were just graced with the matching Locking (ankle) Cuffs to review! This collar works great in bondage scenes alone, and is GREAT with its complementing counterparts.

It held the weight of my thrashing about with NO signs of abuse or wear in the leather holding the rings! The weight was also evenly distributed on my neck and I felt no signs of wear on myself either.
