The purple fur lined wrist restraints are a wonderful addition to my toy bag. For being my first set of cuffs ever, these have definitely served the purpose of not only restraining me, but keeping me in place. I was a bit leery at first about purchasing a set of cuffs, but I figured I'd go for it. I was not disappointed. For being a bit of an experienced player, I was pleasantly surprised that the cuffs not only were comfortable but that they held up to my relentless tugging, pulling, and fighting while in use. These cuffs are great to use with your calm, sedate partner or your feisty little firecracker who is just waiting to defy you once restrained. They are also a good set for beginners to use as they are not extremely heavy duty or hard to handle.

When I first removed them from the packaging, I was afraid that they would be too flimsy or light. The leather that makes up the cuffs didn't feel extremely sturdy to me, though I am used to very heavy cuffs and metal manacles. I fight a lot during play, so durability is a huge deal to me. I turned my attention to the purple fur lining inside the cuffs and was surprised at how soft it was. My partner put the cuffs on me, latching them with the buckle (much like a belt is designed), and hooked them together with a D-ring we had purchased elsewhere. Behind my back, I was afraid that they would pull apart or that the buckles would snap. Once we began to play, no matter how hard I tugged, the cuffs stayed in place. I felt them give a little bit, but that was about the extent of the giving. They remained steadfast and strong while we played and didn't look as though they had been used once removed.

I did notice, though, that when we first put the cuffs on my wrists that the fit was a bit snug. I was only able to get the cuffs to buckle on the first hole in the strap. I'm not an overly big girl and I found it a bit hard to fit them. Once on, though, they softened up and were more comfortable. If you have bigger wrists, I would proceed with caution with considering these for purchase. The fit and size, though, are good for beginners, average players, and extreme players.

The cuffs definitely surpassed my expectations. First of all, they are easy to use and put on because of the belt buckle like design for latching the cuffs onto your partner. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to successfully put them on your partner or use them for that matter. Before I put them to use, I was afraid they wouldn't last. My fear was quelled and I was more than pleasantly surprised. The cuffs served the desired purpose of holding me in place, unable to move or break my bonds, and helpless to my partner while we played. I have used them on others as well and have found them to be highly durable through intense play. There is a limitation, though, in that the cuffs can only be used for the wrists. There is no versatility in them that allow for them to be used in any other way. They are not discreet enough to wear out in public nor are they large enough to fit around the ankles as restraints.

Caring for the cuffs is a bit tricky. When cleaning the fur, I used a warm, wet washcloth to clean the fur. I am a bit leery to use soap as I am afraid that the fur will clump and lose the softness effect that they have. I dried them with the blow dryer on a low setting for about ten minutes to make sure that the water didn't seep through to the leather overlay of the cuffs. Cleaning the leather should NOT be done with water and soap. It could potentially ruin the leather. I would suggest using leather cleaner or leather wipes. Wipes would be easier because the surface area is small. The wipes are inexpensive and are much easier than fumbling with a bottle of cleaner. I store my cuffs in my toy bag with my paddles and such. They could be stored in a bed side table, but I would store with caution. They are not discreet and if you live at home or have little ones, discretion could potentially be a problem.

I absolutely love this set of cuffs. They are my first formal set that I have ever owned and I am proud to say that I do. I really was stunned by how well they withstood my writhing and fighting. I am so glad that I invested in them and I would highly recommend them to my friends!
