This toy would be fantastic for those looking to explore BDSM and spanking/impact play. Its cute heart cut-outs are a novelty, and one or two good smacks will leave your bum looking extra-loved! For those who are more advanced in the world of kink, I don't recommend this as your "big investment" paddle. If you are looking for something meant to be a novelty, or perhaps a gift for your partner, this will surely make the right impression. The leather is sturdy, well stitched and features a loop through a metal grommet which could provide security when wrapped around the wrist. However, this paddle is very loud thanks to the way the flat part is designed, and the handle is not the most comfortable to hold during long spankings.
A lovely idea, a fun gift, and very exciting to feel! (But perhaps not the best choice for those planning to do long-term spankng!)

This paddle is well made, with some consideration for what I feel to be a design flaw. The sturdy leather and stitching make it a very durable piece. (I believe mine will last for several years, and it gets used quite regularly.) Depending on the intensity of the impact, this paddle can provide a sharp sting or a solid smack. No softie stuff here. Unfortunately, the handle can become uncomfortable after a while- a round style handle is easier to manage for a long-duration spanking. Finally, a feature which I feel neither good nor bad about, the paddle itself is slit lengthwise to reveal a slip of red paper- that's what you see in the photos! Not necessary for leaving a mark, but when the paddle comes down, it sure does make a hell of a sound. Crack!

When I first started using this toy, it was easy for me to experience bruising for a few days after. However, I have a bleeding disorder that is managed with medication, so I bruise a little more than most people. I have kept my paddle in good condition with little to no need to really "care" for it. The leather has never crumpled or become worn. In the future, if I experience any troubles with the leather, I will rub sweet almond oil into it. As for storing, the paddle can conveniently be hung in a closet (or on a door handle,) though mine is usually kept beside the bed. If, for any reason, you need to clean your paddle, I recommend wiping down with a toy wipe and rubbing sweet almond oil or a specialty leather care (skin friendly) oil into the area that needed cleaning.
