These ankle restraints are used to, um, restrain the ankles...Yea, you probably already figured that out, huh? The purple fur lining is to prevent chafing and tearing of the skin, as well as be pleasing to the eye. They are great for beginners and advanced BDSM play, and withstand lots of pulling and tugging. You can use this anywhere that you can find something to tie them to, making this a very versatile toy.

Spartacus did a great job with the design of these cuffs. It is hand-crafted leather but smells a bit like plastic with a leather overtone. They hold up very well to tugging and pulling. The cuffs are about 12.5 inches long and allow for a range of 5" to 10" in circumference, which makes for great double use as wrist restraints as well. The fur on the inside is not only a beautiful royal purple, but it helps prevent chafing and skin tears from the leather. If you need the full 10 inches, I don't think I would suggest these, because there is a gap that could pinch at the largest setting.

I am able to be very comfortable wearing these as both ankle and wrist restraints. I am pretty small-boned and have a 5" wrist and a 7" ankle, so they fit perfectly. I had my husband hook them up to our bed tethers and I tugged away as hard as I could---nothing happened. No tearing, no stretching, no give at all. I am sure these will hold up for many a play time. During all of the tugging and pulling, I was completely comfortable in them. They are super soft and really easy to put on.

Do not put these through the washing machine and try not to get them soaking wet. To clean you can use a damp washcloth with some mild soap or a toy cleaning wipe. Since it isn't something that will be getting bodily fluids on it (for the most part) they do not have to be cleaned after every use, but if you notice sweat buildup or something like that, a wet wipe will do the trick. Storage? Um, they are basically attached to our bed now.

The restraints come in a clam-shell type packaging and opens to the side. I do feel that the picture takes away from the item. The model looks like a pissed off bitch and the use of the nipple clamps drew my attention there, rather than the ankle cuffs, where my attention should have been. No instructions were included, but I kind of feel that they weren't needed. A care sheet would have been nice though. Also, it is definitely not a discreet package.
