Mask Me, Whip Me, Don't Cuff Me With These

Get it for the mask and whip - not for the cuffs. I do feel however, that the mask and whip ARE worth the money for the overall kit price. So if your looking for a decent mask that blocks out the area by the nose - wear it 'inside out'.. and the whip, again... gives you a good taste of what a whip would feel like, great for play time - and won't leave you with welts or cuts.

Pros
Great Starter Whip - Doesn't bite, but surprises with quick diminishing 'pain'. Great mask!
Cons
Cuffs are too thin, raw edges on material on cuffs and feel too small for general use.

Use

This product is best for those who have never played with handcuffs, or for those who want to try out the whipping sensation, as well as what sensations are available with your sight removed. If you are new to BDSM or enjoy very light play - this is the set for you. However, I do have some thoughts on the cuffs, so keep reading!

The three objects introduce you to three very different things.

The Handcuffs: Handcuffs introduce you to the element of relinquished control over your free will. You are no longer allowed to move freely, or move away from an area you have been tethered to by the other cuff. There is a certain power to be had in feeling helplessly under someone else's control. (However, you should have a defined and unrelated safe word in place before you use this set. JUST IN CASE you need them to seriously stop whatever they are doing.)

The Whip: Whipping sensations are exciting, and can elevate your level of awareness, or bring your heart rate up fairly quickly. The sting of the whip cords can sometimes be harsh, or sharp, biting or dull - depending on the materials.

The Mask: Several layers of elements are available behind a mask. One, it removes the sensation of sight. Being blinded your other senses become heightened to make up for the deficiency of information. You also don't know what is about to happen to you.. will you be tickled, tortured, whipped, caressed, licked, spanked, slapped, kissed... you just never know! It also gives an added level of relinquishing power and free will.

Look up the definition of BDSM if you are not already familiar with it.. this is a good beginner kit - to test the water.

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

The mask - is a pretty darn good design. The stitching seems tight and the stretch band was just right for my head. Not too tight, not too loose. However, I put it on 'backwards' - with the fuzzy facing my eyes - and was far more impressed with the feel, and with how much it blocked out those two areas down your nose where light ALWAYS gets in, and where you can ALWAYS see everything going on anyway. The fur is able to crush around the rounded eyelids, and also fills up most of that space, especially if you gently press it against your nose a little. Mask - Good.

The whip - smells because well, its like a pleather vinyl or something. It smells - not good, but it's tolerable to try it out. It isn't going to FILL YOUR ROOM with bad scent - but if you get it near your face you'll get a whiff. The cords are not cut off at a sharp point, in fact they sting a LITTLE bit - even with good effort behind the swing... it is a surprise but not a painful experience.. this is one to use if your introducing your loved one and don't want to entirely scare them away forever because the 'cheap whip' you got was heat cut and the edges were basically like heat forged razors that might cut into the flesh! This whip, feels like a good starter whip. It just smells if you get too close to it.

The cuffs - are leaving much to be desired. The problem is that they feel rather small or were meant for small wristed petite women who have no weight on them at all. The fabric is not sewn at the ends to look nice, neat, or finished. It is a raw edge that looks ugly. Also, the metal used for the construction of the cuffs, is cheap looking (think old tin toys with the seams where they put them together), and was constructed VERY thin. Think - if you fell accidentally, it might do some damage. I would be careful with these, and only get them if the wearer is thinner, and has small wrists. I would not use these on ankles, they were not designed for it, so don't. All in all - the cuffs suck.

Performance

The Mask: Yup! This won't be leaving my toy box - used with the fuzz toward your eyes, it makes a great lightlock with minimal effort and feels extra comfy. It might get hot but then you can ask for the mask to be flipped over. ;)

The Whip: Its smelly but it will have its uses. It is soft for a whip - but is a great introduction/trainer to get used to the sensations. It's very lightweight and can be stored in a small space, same as the mask.

The Cuffs: You know, they sucked so much my partner didn't even want to bother with them. He put them on me because I wanted to see if they at least fit - but he had NO Desire to even look at them again. I think that says something - the quality is just lacking ( perhaps because it's a 20 dollar kit, and they are trying to fit three things into it. Either way.. they sucked bad.) In fact, to test how much strength the chain portion would stand up to, I pulled on the cuffs with a firm outward pressure. All of the links spread apart far enough.. the middle link fell off when I put them down. This is totally weak - and you DO NOT want to pull or tug on the cuffs if you use them... it will render them useless, and render the wearer powerful and mighty!

Due to the nature of the three entirely different feels, the tags are limited to one - because it is both "Comfy to wear" and "Chafes" but that is because of the three items in the pack - not because they all fit well or don't fit well.
    • Easy to put on / use

Care and Maintenance

It comes in an over sized box for what you get - but can be stored easily in a baggie, or cloth bag, or chucked into your box. You could get a cheap toy bag and slip all three items in probably to keep them together if you wanted.
    • Easy to store

Packaging

A huge box, a plastic bag - and all three inside the bag. No instructions.

Personal comments

Don't get it for the cuffs, unless your absolutely new to them.

If you want it for a decent mask, a great beginners whip - and maybe you'll try out those cuffs... Get it.
Otherwise, you'll be disappointed by the cuffs.
