The Silk Whisper mask is wonderful for a bit of deprivation play, in which one person is not able to see what the other is doing or is about to do next. The taking away of one of the senses enhances all the others. It can be very sensual and quite exciting for the recipient as well as his or her partner. This is great for incorporating into beginner BDSM play but will also work wonderfully for the more advanced.

This is a very beautiful and well made mask. The front is made of 100% silk and has an embroidered design of dragons and flowers on it. It comes in black with red or gold with purple. I bought the black/red one and it is gorgeous. The backing is made of soft fleece, which feels very comfortable against the skin and eyes. The silk and fleece are sewn together and the whole thing is trimmed in black cotton. It is secured by 1/2 inch elastic around the back. I found it to be comfortable around my head, as well as sufficient for blocking out any light. The mask also did a great job of staying put through the whole experience. This should fit most people. But those with bigger heads may need to get a mask that ties in the back. One of the drawbacks to softer, lighter masks is that they're usually not very well made. This one, on the other hand, is extremely well made and looks more expensive than it actually is.

As I said previously, this worked great! I loved it! This is the first mask that we've ever bought that was specifically to be used on me. I'm kind of fussy about how uncomfortable many masks are. So I chose this, not only for it's beauty but also because it looked like something that I would feel comfortable wearing, and it is. The fleece felt nice against my face and the narrower elastic did not bother my head at all. While wearing it, I could not see even a hint of light and it stayed in place the whole time.

Because it is made mostly of silk, I would not recommend washing it in the washing machine. If needed, I would gently hand wash it, use a towel folded around it to press the water out, then air dry it flat.

This mask is so beautiful. The only drawback I can think of is that it works so well I can't see how good I look with it on.

We've had a lot of fun using the Silk Whisper mask. I like not being able to see what's coming next. Not knowing if what is coming will be soft like a feather, or a smack on the thigh, a cold ice cube or a warm tongue. It's extremely arousing, and not only keeps me guessing but also keeps me jumping.
