Pink play heart paddle by Topco Sales - review by Madeira

This is a wonderful spanking paddle, like most hard spanking toys it should only be used on "squishy" parts where the subject has plenty of padding (the ass works nicely). It's very sturdy and will hold up even when used for very rough play. Of course it can also be used lightly and it's cute appearance makes it non-threatening to those not yet versed in BDSM. However if the bottom doesn't handle pain well the top will have to be careful, this is a fairly "mean" paddle. It requires very little effort to get a really intense sting out of it, which in my mind is a good thing.

This is a beautiful, and extremely well made toy for a "Wow" price. It's adorable and made out of high quality leather and studs, and the raised hearts on the paddle make a great impression hehe. The leather is of a fairly middle weight, but quite stiff for a leather paddle (it's not wood, but it will sting) and there are three little raised hearts on each side. The "business end" (the part you'd use to hit with) is slightly stiffer than the handle, and I believe it be reenforced with something

As stated, it's fairly stiff, though if moved quickly it does have a little "whip" to it, but not a whole lot, and the heart embellished business end seems to be lined with something to make it very stiff, meaning this will have a nice hard "whack" sensation when applied.


The design is charming, adorable but not too cutesy as the metal studs give this otherwise candyfloss cute paddle a nice bit of edge, so that you won't have to use its potential to cause pain to quiet a submissive's giggling (like my girlfriend had to do with the sparkly pink riding crop, but that's another story) So, basically, I think it's just the right mixture of cute and evil.

It works wonderfully to cause a nice sting that lasts for a few minutes after the end of the spanking and not much longer. It also tends to be better at delivering pain when used with more blows rather than more force (in other words, hit more often rather than harder). It's a very easy to use paddle, the studding on the grip allow for a nice firm hold, and the wrist strap prevents it from flying away during a more intense session.

Beyond spanking the studs and heart texturing are interesting to run over the skin during sensation play.

It also makes a pleasing "smacking" sound during play, so it's not the most discreet flogging toy on the market, but I personally really enjoy the sound of a spanking, so that's just fine with me. It produces a very intense sting when used with force and repetition, and will indeed leave marks that last for several hours. Also if used hard enough it'll make your partner "ouch" when they sit down for quite awhile if you like that sort of thing.

Like most leather this is not a hard paddle to care for, just wipe it down with some leather cleaner and you're golden. It's also relatively flat and easy to pack away in a toy box.

It comes in a delightfully easy to open disposable package, I wouldn't store it there, as frankly it would just make it harder to pack away, but hey, it's easy to get it out of the packaging, which is more than you can say for a lot of things these days.
